ED Debbie and her injury
Redhead69

She was found under a load of rubble and yet her dress was immaculate and clean. Also in the hospital she was operated on ? What for exactly? I noticed she had full make up on. There wasn't a scratch on her. Really unrealistic.

A lobotomy reversal hopefully. Not a real thing but it is soap after all.

Something about her spleen.

I know. I don't even look that good first thing in the morning! Perfect nails too and not a scratch on her face.

Like I said in an earlier post she reminded me of Sleeping Beauty...then Pete had to spoil it all by giving her a kiss..

It was absolutely ridiculous. Her mascara wasn't even smudged!

Sorry to any Debbie fans, but all the Debbie stuff has been the worst bit of the whole week. They could only recover it by killing her off tonight.

They said it was her spleen so the hospital wouldn't have made much difference to her makeup but you'd think she'd have a few scratches and bruises..

But then what would all you haters do with your time I swear every single ED thread someone brings Debbie into it - more often than not those who 'hate' her.

Everyone would be sat twiddling their thumbs if they didn't have Debbie to slag off

It reminded me of the U.S. soaps where the women are always "at death's door" in hospital with immaculate hair and makeup.

Well this thread is about Debbie. And the whole show is about Debbie, Debbie, Debbie. So she's kind of hard to avoid.

I actually quite liked her before. If it's any consolation, I now don't care about Ross either.

Yes. at least one of her false eyelashes could have dropped off.

When she woke up from the operation she wasn't groggy or disorientated. I've been with relies on numerous occasions when they have come to after an op and this is not the norm, aesthetics used during surgery are strong for obvious reasons, hence the get out clause they make you sign before surgery. The drugs also stay in your system for hours. This is more a criticism towards the director than the actress.

It was quite funny she just blinked her eye's and woke up fully awake..

And just to add to the unrealistic hospital scenes an operation on your spleen takes up to 5 hours!! She was in and out in about 20 mins!!!

bib: Spot on, you can't blame the actress - or Debbie for the fact that the director got that one so very wrong. On coming round from an op, I was told "You look like sh*t, but I still love you!" - and I did for at least 24 hours.

I'm not sure why her scenes and makeup were quite so unrealistic.

Everyone else was at least covered in dust, with ripped clothes and tangled hair. Just Debbie, who was right in the center of the crash and buried by debris looked as if she'd just stepped out of the church.

Maybe they shot the scenes at the hospital first and needed Charlie to go back and do earlier scenes later the same day (I'm not serious...)

The Debbie stuff is always the worst part of Emmerdale

That's not totally fair. I liked her when she was in the background. I liked her when she was advising Charity about her pregnancy by Declan. I liked her when she was talking to Finn about not knowing his Mum. But this tedious love triangle has done her no favours - nor Ross either.

Ok, you're right, but she has been the worst thing on the show since the Ross stuff started

She's had (too many) years of practice.
