Firstly I have to say I am dreading what Eric's reaction will be when he finds out Val has died.

Secondly, what's the betting that in 18 months time these two will be together; having been drawn together by their grief and then the comfort they find in each other...or is that just me?

But then what about poor old Doug? Yet again he loses out. Eric has had more wives/girlfriends than Debbie Dingle (sorry BARTON) has had men. I like Doug, he is one of the few "real" people in the show.
