Ee: Dtc
I am surprised at just how much hatred there is for DTC on here. I realise that not everything he has tried has worked for example he ruined his own introduction of Charlie Cotton with the Roxy affair s/l. The Who killed Lucy and the aftermath including the false arrests for me has been genius, as was the Kathy return. Having followed the mess that the Kirkwood/Newman era's left I really didn''t think people would be as hard on him.

I think people just like to moan.
I don't see any hatred. I think the Corrie bloke gets more.I got caught up in the forum fervour for him when I used to lurk and had very high expectations. I think he's ok but could do better. His team has had some great ideas but a fair few stinkers too. As to whether he should stay or go, it depends on who would replace him? He is a cut above his 2 immediate predecessors, can't argue with that. I watch his EE, I gave up on theirs. |

I just can't get used to some things on here, especially people who call characters/actresses or other panel members a cow, I really hate that, women should be treated with respect even if you don't like them. Anyway back to the subject, you're right there was a lot of hype, but generally I think he's done well and with two exceptions I think the cast cast is excellent

He gets nowhere near as much stick as The Hat, Kirkwood, or Newman, which I think is probably fair. There seemed to be a fair bit of hysteria around him joining EE like he was the second coming or something, and that didn't turn out to be the case.
Overall though, I would say he's been a net positive. Things actually happen, which is more than can be said for what happened with Newman. |

I think his main problem is his stories start off great with lots of intrigue but tend not to end well. Nick/Lucy being the exceptions and even Nick is a bit dubious. Charlie doesn't seem too bothered about dad or gran anymore!

On the whole he's been good for the show.
Do I like everything he's done? No, far from it. Is EastEnders better than the unwatchable mess it became in 2012/13? Absolutely. |

He has really pulled the show out of a hole and was good to begin with, but the plots are now so boring and nothing is moving forward, so I think its now time for him to go.

We don't even know why Kathy faked her death so how is the decision to bring her back genius? It hardly takes a genius to know bringing back one of the Beale families key characters has lots of potential.
I don't understand how making Bobby a killer and arresting the wrong people is genius either. Child killers have been done is many films and drama's in the past. |

He has been hit and miss. I just think his favortism and poor treatment of certain characters is not a good trait for a producer to have. He is dreadfully biased. I will never ever ever forgive him for how he treated Lola.

He isn't perfect, but he's turned the show around from the state it was due to Kirkwood and Newman. I love the Who Killed Lucy? storyline with it's twist and turns, despite the fact we know Bobby is responsible, but the police and everyone outside the Beale family don't. I also think he and his team try and do what we want in a way-people wanted a breather from the Carter's, we got it as they haven't been on screen that much and people wanted more use of characters like the Masood's and that happened.
And he brought Kathy back!!! Can't wait to see what's lined up for her and other characters. I think Kirkwood and Blackburn are the most complained about as they are running their respective soaps into the ground. |

He's picked it up a lot since when I was ripping him over the Carters Deano and all that Kush rubbish.

He made all the right decisions until September/October 2014. Something went wrong after the rape plot.

He's not bad but he's not great either. I get this feeling with DTC he's biased with certain Characters like Carters. I also get this impression that he's stubborn
