This soundbar has suddenly given up responding to any button on the remote control. I changed the battery, which made no difference and then I ordered a new remote - which hasn't helped either.

I have tried all the suggestions in the manual, such as resetting the soundbar itself which didn't help and following the guide to resetting the remote control code, but the box still fails to respond.

It turns on and off perfectly well using the controls on the side of the box. Does anyone have any ideas? Many thanks in advance.

First thing to do is check the front panel and make sure the area where the remote sensor is located is clean and clear of obstructions. According to the manual the remote sensor is just to the left of the display as you look at it from the front.

If you have tried two different remotes that does tend to suggest it is not something like a failure of the emitter in the remote control. Which could mean the sensor has failed in the soundbar.

Thanks very much. The sensor is clear, so I'll work on the basis that it has failed and contact Panasonic.
