He is a lousy actor and it looks like they are trying to make the Kevin we know (a thick uneducated inbred) into a go - getter business type man.
It doesn't work, the character is almost a moron. He can't be anything else in his current life.

I agree that Micheal Levell is a good actor and it's good that he is back in Corrie .. I also like his relationship with Tim who I think is a one off and impossible to compare with Sally's other partners...
