What exactly killed Val?
There wasn't much of her that wasn't covered in rubble, so sadly I think it was a pretty gruesome way to go.

I did too. There was no way out for poor Val and it was such a disturbing and cruel way to go! Just something you wouldn't expect to see in Emmerdale!
Saying that, I shouldn't be at all surprised as I absolutely love Kate Oates' fearless risk-taking and her seemingly effortless ability to take the show down a much darker path, regardless of the consequences.
Summer Fate week has been superb, but crucial elements have been missing not to mention several familiar faces!

Glass hanging at that angle wouldn't crush. It was a pretty nasty Final Destination style death, to be honest.

EXACTLY. In the real world she wouldnt have died, she would have told her sister and the fireman could have easily removed the glass away from her body. I dont get it anyway. this was a fair ground ride which is put up temporary all the time, so i would think it would hardly have heavy beams keeping it up, more like a tent structure with poles, and the mirrors would be moveable. You can hire the things if anyone wants to google it lol.
So cant quite see why she couldn't have lifted that small beam off her, considering she had the energy to light a fag and find her cigarettes wherever they came from and a lighter... She was wearing a jacket a long line jacket and it had pockets but the pockets would have been below the beam, so how did she get the fags out?
Sorry I just thought the death stupid and she was too selfish to die like that.
