She would be brilliant playing the part... her Hyacinth Bucket could come out to the max.

I love how she is all 'conservatory' and mentions that she has viennetta in the freezer

No bad idea in my opinion, the best thing about sally when she acts all snobby then gets put in her place.

plus being in charge she soon wouldnt have any staff left at the factory don't think they could stick her actually been in charge

The trouble is, I'm sure they would have her fail so she could be brought down a peg or two and teach her to have ideas above her station.

No, she should always be the wannabe social climber. That's what makes her character so engaging to watch.

I agree.

Sally is great with her snobbery and remarks about the conservatory ect.. but part of the humor is that she doesn't actually have any power.

No way. She's horrible and doesn't deserve that kind of elevation. Poor Tim He's too good for her.

Nah whats her face will get the chicken owner to buy it and Sall will grovel for her job back and end up just being on the factory floor again.

She is a useless business owner her shop crashed and burned years ago.

But yeah poor Tim, love that guy

I love the snobby character of Sally, we get some very understated humour from her. I hope she gets back with Kevin and buys Underworld.

Hardly. It's more like smack in the face supposed humour

No what makes her funny is the tragic snob act in her desperation to become superior to others when we all know she's not and occasionally is put in her place big time

You mean when she was selling the factory's seconds on a market stall?

She took several boxes of seconds - far more than a successful factory with good machinists should have had. Perhaps the machinists improved and there weren't enough to fill a stall so she had nothing to sell.

Oh yes!! I can imagine her talking about wearing "power suits" to work and driving everyone mad until she has to grovel when they all either go on strike or leave the factory. She'll be saying to Tim things like "When you're a CEO / executive / director..." etc and of course high flyer. I wonder what she'll expect of him if she gets to run the factory. Will Carla care who she sells it to the mood she's in? This will be great for Sally's character. She'll finally be living her dream and will be unbearable to begin with then she'll realise just how difficult it is and that it's not all about being bossy. When she gets her first supplier or client touching her knee she'll go ballistic and lose a contract then moan all night to Tim!

It'd be rather interesting to see how she handles it. I imagine the staff will strike within a week. I'd like to see it as a short-term story.

It would certainly create some interesting dynamics, IMO more so than giving the factory over to a newbie with no history on the street.

For those who think that give it would get rid of her pretentions of grandeur if she actually genuinely held a position of power, I actually see it doing the opposite to great comic effect. I can easy imagine Sally getting Underworld and for a while thinking she is the next Michelle Mone or one of the Dragon's from Dragon's Den

Of all Corrie's 20/30 years-ish+ legacy characters, Sally is undeniably the most interesting to watch on a consistent basis, and she still feels fresh.

Not really a loss as they spend all their time gassing than actually doing work!

It would be interesting to see an existing character buy the factory but I'm not sure I want it to be Sally. As so many of you have said, she works best when she is attempting to elevate herself and failing. But she'd be preferable to Alya, who with her "acting" this week when Carla dropped her bombshell showed that she is just as bad as the rest of her awful family.

Perhaps Eva could come into some money on her return. The character needs a bit of focus.

She is horrible. Coming on to Kevin because she thinks he's doing well in business Being prepared to drop Tim just so she can move up in the world Trying to blame the kiss on Kevin and then almost bully him into confessing presumably so she can have 2 men fighting over her and she can choose the better bet in her eyes Kevin. Lying to Tim pretending she loves him and not being honest to him

I can't wait for her to bid to buy the factory fail and she is jobless. Maybe she can help Tim with his Window cleaning round. She needs teaching a serious lesson

The staff spend their time drinking tea and eating cakes from Roy's cafe. Often, they just go out on some domestic errand, or a relative wanders in to the factory to discuss something. Anyone buying the factory will need to either hire all new staff, or set out a clear rule of conduct for the employees. Could Sally be this ruthless?

Sally as owner of the factory? That will never happen. Corrie clung on to the name Baldwin at the factory for as long as they could. Now it's a Connor concern and they will cling onto that name for as long as they can. It's probably one of the reasons that Carla has stuck to the name and Michelle has kept the name too. Corrie are building up the Connors again! And with Carla leaving

Spoiler
