He didn't though. He just saw a covered over stretcher. Could of been anybody that they didn't know that was in the maze. Maybe it was one of the rescue members that died trying to save Val. Wishful thinking I know!

In reality it would have been Eric who put the song on as it reminded him of Val as it was their song.

We didn't see Kim's body - wasn't the story that she paid a lookalike to impersonate her, and then pushed her car off the cliff, or something?
Charlie Hardwick has said that it was right for her to leave and she's looking forward to new challenges.

Not realistically they couldn't.
They could possibly have Charlie return as a long lost second cousin, or a random who just happens to look the spitting image of Val; the latter has been done before in soaps. But they showed several close ups of the glass positioned directly above her, two firemen went in to rescue her, came out and a few more went in and then they brought a body out. Also, there would have been no point to the ghost scene, with Val saying that he was dead, if she wasn't.

Not really. Soaps are not complete fantasy, they need to have an element of realism. I'm pretty sure, also, that the producers expect their viewers to have some common sense and hope they wouldn't take us for idiots.
Reports of someone dying and not showing us a body, is one thing, but showing us the scenario that happened, having the character to say that they are dead and the actress to say that she has left - and then bringing Val back safe and sound, would just be ludicrous.
I didn't see the programme , but I read an article by Charlie H and she ended it by saying "maybe they'll see me again in a different guise " .That got thinking that maybe Val will come back - maybe as a long lost relative but it raised doubt .............

She may have an identical cousin, Home and Away did that.

I think she meant as a different character in a different show/project.
I said this on another thread, but neither Val or Ross are dead. They were having a passionate secret affair and this is all part of their elaboate plan to run away together to start a new life in Monaco.
