So around a million for each eastenders episode I wonder how that compares to corrie on itv player ? Do they make any figures available?

Also why no figures for sky or Virgin surely people are likely to watch on a TV rather than a tablet or PC so I expect these figures would be high.

Corrie's Live episode trailer has been released. It is rather cringeworthy in my opinion but it will generate some interest. It focuses on the Callum storyline as Callum chases the Platts through the street:

That link doesn't work for me? Well it does but the video has been removed for some reason or other.

i haven't seen any lately and i don't believe they've ever published them for individual progs...

those are generally captured by BARB although the statistical validity of mixing and matching the two sets is a bit of an unknown...

I do believe it's Lauren Aquilina, such a lovely song
It really is a beautiful song and a great choice for the Downton trailer

What do you mean by this? Viewing via the TV is captured by BARB (barring some oddities such as maybe Chromecast used by derek500); other viewing isn't (or at least the data for that won't be published till Thursday evening).

until we know the details on Dovetail, simply adding the iPlayer stats to the BARB stats isn't really valid cos they come from two different "populations", do we know how they are going to do it?

BARB are using part of their existing TV panel. They have steadily been introducing gadgets for PCs, tablets etc into panel homes. The figures are supposed to be directly comparable with traditional TV usage, with proper accounting for length of viewing of each item.

I'm enjoying those X-Factor ratings, especially the prospect of Ora and Grimshaw realising the public doesn't give a hoot about their presence.

I think it's the show and the brand, it's fatality damaged now, Rita did well on TVUK, and Nick whilst lost dome listeners who were older, gained younger ones. I haven't seen the demos but guess XF lost a heck of a lot of older viewers who do not engage with them, but didn't get younger ones in.

The pantomime, scripted responses, the hype, the Simon Cocky approach, ie turn up in T Shirt and jeans, the focus on judges not talent, the auto tune scandal, the joke acts, the bloated feeling with less talent singing and lots of filler. The brand itself is terminally damaged, you can have any judge and any host its nit going to change. The only saviour actually is if SCD does very well XF may inherit some of it.

At this rate they can only go up. But their presence certainly hasn't been the shot in the arm Cowell would have hoped (much like him returning wasn't either).

That will be an interesting evening, no doubt a lot will be read into The X Factor's rating.

What is 'An Inspector Calls'? 90 minutes I assume?

A thought just occurred to me. Remember when XF was riding so high they boomed out the previous week's viewing figures at the top of the show? Good times

It a JB priestly adaptation, set largely in a family dining room in the victoriana era if I remember it properly (it's been years since I read it) I studied it in school and had no idea they were doing an adaptation of it, sort of thing that could surprise and do pretty well
