Corrie's Live episode trailer has been released. It is rather cringeworthy in my opinion but it will generate some interest. It focuses on the Callum storyline as Callum chases the Platts through the street:

those are generally captured by BARB although the statistical validity of mixing and matching the two sets is a bit of an unknown...K |

Viewing via the TV is captured by BARB (barring some oddities such as maybe Chromecast used by derek500); other viewing isn't (or at least the data for that won't be published till Thursday evening).

until we know the details on Dovetail, simply adding the iPlayer stats to the BARB stats isn't really valid cos they come from two different "populations", do we know how they are going to do it?

I'm enjoying those X-Factor ratings, especially the prospect of Ora and Grimshaw realising the public doesn't give a hoot about their presence.

The pantomime, scripted responses, the hype, the Simon Cocky approach, ie turn up in T Shirt and jeans, the focus on judges not talent, the auto tune scandal, the joke acts, the bloated feeling with less talent singing and lots of filler. The brand itself is terminally damaged, you can have any judge and any host its nit going to change. The only saviour actually is if SCD does very well XF may inherit some of it. |

I think it's the show and the brand, it's fatality damaged now, Rita did well on TVUK, and Nick whilst lost dome listeners who were older, gained younger ones. I haven't seen the demos but guess XF lost a heck of a lot of older viewers who do not engage with them, but didn't get younger ones in.

A thought just occurred to me. Remember when XF was riding so high they boomed out the previous week's viewing figures at the top of the show? Good times
