When have any sensible level-headed people ever referred to Simon Cowell as 'stupid'? Like most Tories he's too clever for the average unsuspecting victim, with an expertise in cornering the market, press manipulation and double-bluffing which only serve to make it all the sweeter in the rare instances of spectacular failure Stupid people failing is nowhere near as fun.

Did the chase have an increase from the new chaser by the way?

Nothing seems to have been released following this evening's BARB conference. Hopefully something will be out tomorrow.

It will definitely be available to the public so should be on the website soon. Friday looks likely.

And they will almost certainly not find it easy to equal, let alone better, the ratings for anything long running.

I got the impression from his interview about it on something or other (This Morning possibly) that Larry Lamb was a bit miffed his run is so short and that it is ending when ironically they do seem to have got something like the old blend back.

Any whispers on what they are considering to replace it in 2016?”

ITV should buy it.

I think that we could see

The X Factor 5.9
Strictly 7.2

Even if TXF draws back some extra viewers due to the bank holiday, it will still be hurt by that clash. Sunday will show how much of a bounce back The X Factor has had from the holiday weekend.

Apart from a weather snow bomb happening, should we place bets on the following

(1) Simon in tears at the audition of an amazing singer
(2) Rita clashes with Cheryl
(3) Cheryl collapses and rushed to hospital with mysterious bug

Of course all of these could happen, one a week during the auditions

Stephen Fry bombed again on ITV: without HD and +1, just 1.54m (7.6%).

These clashes are really hurting EE, but this will come back to bite ITV soon. X Factor is dying and this will only be accelerated by Strictly whenever it starts clashing regularly. As are most of their other entertainment formats (bar BGT and IACGMOOH) and they can't seem to find a new successor to XF.
Slap it up them!

Completely forgot about Cradle To Grave last night, is it worth catching up on iPlayer?

Thanks Neil.

Do you have Channel 4 and Channel 5's top 3? I want to see if Celebrity Big Brother and Jamie's Sugar Rush got in.

I think we'll see disappointing ratings for both.

Well I said X Factor could be low before Strictly even started and that happened. This weekend will be interesting.

And Cradle To Grave should definitely be watched. Very funny. Boy Meets Girl I'm not sold on.
