Last week's Bake Off has gone over 11m after several days of catch up viewing. This is all I know.
I guess I will have to watch it on the Wednesday rather than Sunday morning in bed |

So according to Digital Spy, the BBC's major 6 part drama War & Peace will air this Winter.
Could this be going directly against DA and IAC this year? |

I know that it is no true indication, but if the figures are that high now and continue through out the run, we could see a live final figure over 11 million. People will want to watch and not be spoiled by friends, family and the media.
I guess I will have to watch it on the Wednesday rather than Sunday morning in bed |

I can see a drop tonight due to the weather, possibly down to the low 8m region. Last year's second episode dropped too so it wouldn't be a big story if it happened, although I can see a few outlets having a dig if a fairly sizeable drop occurred. |

Not really. Last year NT had the first ep over 7m then one ep over 6m the rest around mid 5m consolidated. The second half of the series was around 4.7m overnight.

Soap Spin
Fans of EE (such as myself) could let last night's figures speak for themselves :
EE 5.86m ED 5.81m Or, even better, they could try using these : EE 6.32m (inc. BBC3) ED 6.01m (inc. +1) ED fans would prefer to go with these : ED 6.01m (inc. +1) EE 5.86m (excluding BBC3) Alternatively, ED fans could say it's the share that matters : ED 34.4% EE 32.4% EE fans could say that EE's share is 11.6% higher than last Tuesday, but ED's share is only 1.2% higher. Or that EE is 2.7% higher than Monday, but ED is 1.3% lower. ED fans could do a y-o-y comparison : ED 5.47m/31.1% , EE 5.67m/30.5% They could say that, compared with 2014, ED is up a by a "huge" 0.34m and 3.3% share, whereas EE is up by a "paltry" 0.19m and 1.9% share. Isn't spin a wonderful thing? |

Tattoo Fixers has been quite a success for E4, hasn't it grown throughout?

Well I thought Bake Off was eventful tonight, especially considering some newspaper reports about people being expert bakers and frontrunners. Two talking points in two weeks. Will it generate more ratings?

Is it too early to say that I'm not enjoying Bake Off as much as last year? The bakers came across as more likeable and had a bit more personality. Maybe I need to give it a couple more weeks before I judge it but I remember instantly loving it last year.

The "trained" baker who was "star" baker last week is the one who got booted out this week.

I'm enjoying this series a lot already. Quite a few characters, nobody is hateful and we had Dorret's disaster in week one and a shock in week two! Quote:
That was an incredible coincidence wasn't it.

The papers are jumping on the back of something popular to try to boost their own fortunes.
They think by running a Bake Off story on the front page based on some tenious non-story more people will buy the paper. Whether it works or not is another question. We've seen it before with other shows, most notably with The X Factor. "Exclusive: Cowell does what?, quick lets buy The Sun" readers may say. Of course at some point the papers decide that said show is too popular and needs to be brought down a peg or two. |
