Thats pretty dreadful all round, watched SOAH and hadnt realised how poor it was,and the canned laughter was terrible.HIGNFY is also running out of steam, and the Kennedys will just keep dropping, non of the so called comedy block was at all funny(in my opinion).

Was there any live bits for Stand Up to Cancer this year or was it all specials and regular C4 continuity?

The final England qualifier is in Lithuania on Monday but as they are through the result is academic. EE held up well against the footie.

Still Open All Hours is David Jason doing Arkwright less well than Ronnie Barker. It's filmed in front of a studio audience but I'd rather watch the original.

Agree about HIGNFY. Just wheezes along. Rubbish.

Terrible again for NAT - the new version starts on Monday with a lead-in from the football again so that figure does not bode well.

Thanks Dancc.

Was Gogglebox the only thing that rated well for Stand Up To Cancer night on Channel 4?

It may be filmed in front of a audience but there is no way that laughter was real, same track was used over and over again,it was very poorly done.

Looks that way!

And talking of that show, the Goggleboxers didn't think much of ITV's Eternal Glory at all. From the clips they showed I fully expect this to be rating in the low 1's before long. Looked absolutely appalling.

It was all special editions of each show, with regular continuity. Fantastic rating for Gogglebox and well deserved.

First time I watched Channel 4 all week, and I'm not keen on the new idents at all.

I saw that part of Gogglebox. I loved the bit where they were waiting for the cylinder lights to go out.

Eternal Glory looks appalling

Why was EE so low when there wasn't any competition the football only got 4 million so it couldn't of been that. Lower than a normal Friday isn't it ?

No sarcastic comments please.

I expected more for Gogglebox but it always consolidates and repeats very well.

The football got 5m. It was an England match. TFI Friday night dent the soaps next Friday too.

From what I can gather a lot of viewers are unhappy with the way Kathy has been brought back.

I loved how Gogglebox ripped Eternal Glory. It's reheated Superstars but with less appeal. Looked poor from the clips I saw.

I know I am. The main problem is that they left it too late, the moment when people would have been interested was several months ago.

Doubt TFI will have much impact on the soaps, the football did not damage EE as much as I'd expected (presumably the vast majority of the audience was in England).Do we ever get regional break-downs on events like the rugby and football ?
