Surely if it was good enough last week it shouldn't have needed much promotion, yet it dropped so much?

That MPP was a fairly old repeat as well. Perhaps people assumed, like me, it was part of the new series instead of the original pilot tagged onto the end. C4's dirty-trick looks like it worked.

I guess that's fine for the Apprentice.

Horrendous for ITV last night outside of the soap block, big changes needed there urgently.”

My dad watched DIY SOS last week. He doesn't normally watch. He said the BBC should be commended for commissioning a programme that had such positive outcomes for our veterans but he found Nick Knowles' faux counselling vomit inducing. He said the man likes to take all the credit and yet did very little. He didn't organise anything, he hardly did any work, he acted like a buffoon and the bit where one of the team called Prince Harry sausage was pathetic. He thought the way Knowles was speaking to the benefactors was patronising, akin to a child that needs reassuring. Perhaps other viewers felt the same. Knowles has an air of self importance about himself.

Can't comment on the show since I didn't watch it so I'll have to take your word for it!

And imagine how undeservedly puffed-up his ego will be after these two weeks' insane ratings!

Yep, he will be sat by his phone expecting his MP to phone him to tell him he is getting a knighthood.

Soap Ratings

Corrie 6.77m (33.2%)

Emmerdale 6.07m (31.8%)

Hollyoaks 989k (5.4%)

Good figure there for Hollyoaks going up as the week goes on for the Channel 4 showing.

Corrie not even breaking 7 million in late October with Emmerdale closing in

Did some people not know DIY: SOS was in two parts? Some of course just weren't interested in part 2.

You have also got an hour long EastEnders with the climax to the Carter storyline with Dean.

Yes glad you mentioned it as it's likely being as it's Corrie for it to get skimmed over on this thread Under 7m on autumn nights not good really as same gets said for EE

Gosh The Aprrentice is SO steady yoy, it seems to have been around that level for the last 5 years, or maybe I am just imagining it.
Hard to believe that Wednesday night was once flopzone for BBC1 and now both Tuesday and Wednesday are flopzone for ITV1, how the tables have turned.

Exellent for hollyoaks, they always pull out all the stops for special episode's. So much better than the other soap offerings at the min

Unfortunately I don't watch Eastenders, so for me it will be possibly hunting around in the box of Quality Street to see just what is left and finding that its the round gold foil wrapped toffee

I don't have those unfortunately as they both started before 7pm. I'm expecting BTTF2 at least to be in the multichannel top 10, so we should get it later when ITV Media updates.

Interestingly E4 and Dave were hit badly it seems by ITV2's improved ratings. Dave did not top 170k all evening, whilst E4's The Day the Earth Stood Still could only manage 0.14m (0.7%) and the latest Supernatural did even worse than that.

Just found them on Twitter:

Quote:
“Robin Parker ‏@robinparker55 36m36 minutes ago
Back to the Future did good business for ITV2 yesterday from 4.30pm to 12.30am: 914K (I); 1.4m (II); 1.2m (Keith Lemon doc); 621K (III)”

Those are inc. +1.

Excellent numbers.
