The Loch Lomond series was majorly delayed for some reason. IIRC it was in their spring programming trailer but never made it to air then.

Suspects is another show which keeps getting delayed. It's been in the press pack twice now and not made it to the final listings.

I see Coronation Street is taking over the 'Tonight' programme on ITV.

"Catherine Tyldesley investigates the pressure to have a perfect body and attempts to separate dieting facts from the myths". - itv.com/tonight

Since when has she been a journalist? Unbelievable.

You should see who is presenting on The One Show tonight.

Girl power.

Alex Jones and Geri Horner present the One Show, Charlotte Church talks about her new film Under Milk Wood, and Michael Douglas gives Status Quo's Rick Parfitt a 70s make-over.

Is that what you want, you really really want.

And No not " that" Michael Douglas

Sounds like an evening version of This Morning come Loose Women.

Jack Whitehall to host The Royal Variety.

Why? He's really not that popular. He's just another Nick Grimshaw

I love the way you always call him that.

I prefer Wiggy, though.

That's probably a strong candidate for the final schedule. I'd like to see Still Open All Hours on Xmas night, but not against Emmerdale. Judging by Boxing Day 2014, they share quite a bit of their audience.

Going back to 1990 (), and Last of the Summer Wine (by the same writer as SOAH) repeated badly against what was at the time quite a feeble Emmerdale, despite repeating really well in 1989 and 1992 against other opposition.

Which areas were affected? Didn't lose sound on BBC One Wales HD.

EDIT: If it was only for five seconds, maybe I didn't notice, because I had the subtitles on.

EastEnders trailer for next week.

A number of big plots and it's in two out of slots (Thursday 8:30 and an Hour Friday at 7:30)

EastEnders getting the top UK trend tonight for the first time in ages #Christine with over 16,000 tweets so far.

ITV's on air promotion for this weekend has been awful. They should have rolled out a combined Sat Night promo and another one for Sunday advertising their primetime lineups.

No adverts for the new series of Celebrity Chase, little promotion for X Factor and Downtown.

It wouldn't have hurt to let viewers know they have an all new lineup.

I was thinking today, I'd love a documentary which charted the history of the TV ratings wars through the decades. It would be so good.

Show clips of top shows from different periods, historical battles and have graphics to show the figures. Talk about controversial show axings, TV shows jumping channel, rises and falls... get a few old TV execs or producers and a few celebrities to offer commentary on the different features.

I'm sure most of us could take at least one 10x60 series on this topic. It would be awesome if done well and there's so much material for a compilation show like that. Shows like "It Was Alright in the..." on Channel 4 are of the same ilk, only this would be specifically about ratings and TV successes and flops and battles.

We can but dream can't we?

BIB: I saw one earlier. X Factor has been promoted a lot (as usual) along with Jekyll.

Nobody does combined evening promos anymore. I haven't seen one in years. Not sure why, but considering nobody does, there must be a reason for it.

Probably because a voiceover with a 5 sec clip of The Chase followed by a 5 sec clip of TXF followed by a 5 sec clip of Ross followed by a menu, would look dated, and you'd still have to advertise the main stuff like TXF separately anyway.

ITV did Super Saturday's earlier this year. Featuring hits like Ninja Warrior UK, BGT and flops like Play To The Whistle.

Wasn't Ninja Warrior, BGT and Play It To The Whistle all advertised as one earlier this year when it was dubbed Super Saturday?

Edit: beaten to it

Doesn't mean the concept of unified advertising for a night if the shows are "good" is a poor one?

Yeah I suppose, was just thinking it would be a way to let viewers know that they could stay with ITV the whole night (far fetched I know! Lol).

There isn't even any season promotions anymore. Everything is so bland.
