C4 are sounding like one of those people in a meeting who waits for someone else to say something and then saying "yeah, what he said" - with a pointing finger.
However i do disagree with her on one of her points

The Channel 4 boss said the BBC was a £1bn broadcaster and there were “no consequences” for them if a programme didn’t work. “For Peter [Fincham, ITV director of television] as a commercial channel there is a real consequence and it’s about being aware of that impact
If the BBC had an expensive programme which failed to grab the ratings, a lot of the anti BBC print media would be up in arms. Digital spy would go into meltdown and cats and dogs would start living together in harmony.
ITV are probably aware that TXF needed a good bit of free publicity, and this orchestration has created that. Also there could be a possibilty that things are not working with the new lineup. Combined with the Rugby, ITV should have given TXF a break this year and brought it back in 2016.
However in the real world, people will just Sky+, Tivo or Record Freeview and watch when they want to. After all it's not 1980 anymore
