Cabin Fever (2016) - not bad but I don't consider the original as old.

They used the same script, which seemed a bit pointless.

Paddington 8.5/10

Watched this for the umpteenth time today. I really like it. The humour really clicks with me.

One of my favourite 'British' films and has been added to my list of films to watch at Christmas. I love the clever details like the 'Lost and Found' on Paddington station, the dolls house and the homage to Indiana Jones to name a few.

Lovely and very funny film.

sadako vs kayako (2015)

It's not creepy as the previous movie, it was okay.
I wasnt happy about Sadako story change a little,
You die in 2 days after watching the tape, then she appears to often in this movie

Kayako is the same, you enter the house you die, she weren't see that much, I do find her creeper then Sadako.

The Cursed tape enter the Hauted house, two girls watch the tape again, so Sadako get enter the house.

Battle was okay and funny at time, once in the house, we was decent battle and once by the well.

The end result, I didn't expect,

But I liked the last scence, it is the best part of the movie and only really good part

Spoiler
They merged, that face at end, half Sadako and Half Kayakoy

What if Freddy VS Jason ending like that lol

Elle 6/10

Not sure if I enjoyed this or not - it's one of those films where the acting was superb, but the film and story itself weren't doing it for me. Lots of rape and a rather twisted storyline, but Isabelle Huppert was superb.

Basic plot: A successful businesswoman gets caught up in a game of cat and mouse as she tracks down the unknown man who raped her.

Taken me ages to get around to watching this, thought it was superb.

Last night, I watched a film called Deck The Halls. It was from around 2006, I think, but I had never seen it before. It was set during Christmas, so qualifies as a Christmas film and starred Danny Devito and Matthew Broderick.

I thought it was entertaining enough and a harmless way to waste an hour and a half, but I wouldn't want to see it again. It was supposed to be a comedy, but I don't think that I laughed once. The only reason that I kept watching was because of the acting, which was good and the fact that it was an enjoyable film.

I bought it on DVD from Asda. It set me back £3, so that should have told me something. The DVD is now destined for the shelves of my local CEX. As I said, it was reasonably watchable, but wouldn't stand up to repeated viewings.

I give it 4/10 for the acting and for the fact that I have seen a lot worse.

The actress has been in all the director's feature films so I guess the director just found a part for her by changing the gender of the cop, as she would be too old to play either of the female lead roles.

Midnight In Paris - About as best I can tolerate a Woody Allen thanks to a gorgeous Paris backdrop.

6/10

Apocalypse Now - Classic Vietnam war movie. Not as good as I thought it would be. Great set pieces but the second half of the film is a lot of meandering to me.

7/10

Shark Tale - I think this was meant to be an attempt to recreate the success of Shrek with a Finding Nemo style backdrop. Didn't work. There's a good story in there about living up to family expectations and acceptance but it all gets lost in all the pop culture references and the obtuseness of Will Smith's character. DreamWorks were too in love with themselves over their pop culture formula.
