Antman - ok movie but lacked the kinda sparkle that would get me to want to see it again and that Guardians had by the bucket load.

The Martian - 8/10
Pretty good. Loved the space scenery (and the soundtrack!). I also liked the protagonist as he found humour in an almost impossible situation, I felt his personality carried the film. I found it refreshing how his character was a bit of a loner, I'm sick of the cliche of wife and child waiting for the family man to come home. |

6 years...felt like 6 years watching it. Nothing remotely interesting happened in the whole movie, it was that bad I'm not even going to score it

American Sniper 6/10
The first film I've watched where I immediately had to go to to Wikipedia to find out what happened at the end. |

Traces of Death - 0/10
Never again will i let curiosity get the better of me ......Sick. Im totally against censorship in media, but this type of disgusting REAL life horror production made for profit is crossing the line here. I understand those shock PIF's, they're there to help save lives and prevent tragedies . But this horror is produced as 'entertainment' made for profit! Just sickening. I dispar! |

The Butler [2013]. Director: Lee Daniels
6/10 "Inspired by" the true story of a White House butler who served 8 presidents, this fictionalised version serves as a framework for a potted history of the Civil Rights movement from the 1920s till Obama. Notable for the cameo roles played by the likes of Robin Williams, Mariah Carey and Jane Fonda. ******* Greyfriars Bobby: The True Story of a Dog [1961]. Director: Don Chaffey 6/10 Disney does Scotland (or Shepperton studios). ******* The Bears and I [1974]. Director: Bernard McEveety 5/10 Patrick (son of John) Wayne befriends some orphan bearcubs. ******* Hellraiser [1987]. Director: Clive Barker 7/10 28 years and a long franchise afterwards this still stands out from the crowd of 80s horror movies. New World's decision to dub most of the British cast as Americans only serves to highlight the similarity to (and influence of) the work of Dario Argento. |

Mad City - 4/10
John Travolta takes kids hostage in a museum in a desperate bid to get his job back. Dustin Hoffman is a journalist who looks to exploit the situation to get a good story. It reminds me of Dog Day Afternoon. |
