Black Mass (2015) Very fractured gangster biopic starring Johnny Depp ( i couldn't tell what part he was playing ), more watchable than other sideburn dramas (Argo and American ? ) but that's not saying much. As good as it could be with less than scintillating dialogue and a bland plot. 5/10.

The Lives Of Others (2006)
Absorbing film about how an officer of the secret police in East Germany is affected when he puts a writer under surveillance. Best film I've seen in a long time. 9/10 |

Non Stop (2014) on Ch4 this evening. Complete garbage, Julianne Moore, Liam Neeson.
All I can say is they must have got hefty pay packets to appear in this, and walked away laughing. |

The Jungle Book - 6/10
My first time watching it. I can see why a lot of people love it but I wasn't blown away. It wasn't as song-filled as I was expecting which is good, particularly if Bare Necessities was the high watermark. |
