Been watching a few favourites of mine over past few days.

The King Of Comedy - Robert de Niro is fantastic as the crazy stalker looking for his 15 minutes of fame.

Dial M for Murder - classic Hitchcock about a murder plot that goes wrong.

A Hard Day's Night - a day in the life of The Beatles with plenty of wackiness and great songs.

The March Of The Wooden Soldiers - Laurel & Hardy as Stannie Dum and Ollie Dee saving the day in Toyland.

The Flying Deuces - Laurel & Hardy again, this time joining the Foreign Legion so that Ollie can forget about being rejected by the girl he wanted to marry.

The Toxic Avenger Part III: The Last Temptation of Toxie (1989)

I saw the other two about 2 years ago, so I thought it time to give the others sequels ago

I enjoyed the frist , I thought it so bad that it good but the seconds one , It was just bad.

This one I found a bit more fun , it was so over the top , the whole movie was just silly.
But it was fun watch.

There were some decent gory or better word would be gooey

Not as good as the first but better then the second.

'A Walk In The Woods' 6/10
A film that has a good heart, but is way too creaky with
70 year old Robert Redford asking us to believe that he
is a forty year old Bill Bryson!
Some laughs, and annoyingly, although the two funniest
sequences in the book are retained in the film, the actual
funny lines that made them great, are cut or removed!
Nick Nolte playing an aged drunk, is simply phoning his
part in, but still gets some of the best lines. Pity, could
have been a great film.Instead it's just something to watch
when you have nothing better!

Room - less gimmicky compared to the book, so better than it I would say 8/10

Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger IV (2000)

This was the fourth movie In the series , I did not expect much of this , no way did I think it going to be better
Then part 3

I didn't like this movie , I loved this movie , I actually this is the best in series

Loved action packed frist forty minutes , loved the gory stuff , this next level and
He was by the funniest of them all.

Small Spoiler , I can't not metion, the scence with thr unborn babies fighting in womb
Was so , I can't find a word for it.

It was fun movie wstch.

Furious 7

The previous ones have been getting more ludicrous as they've gone along, but this one was utterly atrocious.

The acting was abysmal, the action pedestrian and the plot made no sense what so ever. Even Jason Statham couldn't save this. Speaking of plot and Statham, considering the gang were going through the story to track down Statham, it became laughable as he literally turned up where ever they were anyway. So they could have just sat at home waiting for him.

If it wasn't for the death of Paul Walker, I reckon this film wouldn't have done anywhere near as well as it did at the box office.

North V South, British gangster film starring Bernard Hill, Steven Berkoff and Freema Agyeman. Some cracking acting, decent plot and a good movie made on a small budget.

The Lazarus Effect [2015]. Director: David Gelb

6/10

This tale of scientists using a serum derived from DMT ("The Spirit Molecule") to revive the recently dead starts well. However, being a Blumhouse production (Paranormal Activity, Insidious, The Purge...) it's not long before the the usual carnage begins. A direct to video release in the UK.

Star Wars IV: A New Hope - The 2004 'enhanced' DVD version. Probably already watched this film a dozen or so times. Enjoyed it again. I'm going to watch the original theatrical versions of Empire and Jedi next.

I also watched Shivers (1974) - An early Cronenberg effort about the residents of an apartment block becoming infected by paarasites that turn them into raving sex maniacs. Some of the acting was a bit naff, but I'll probably re-watch it at some point. Some difficult to forget scenes in this film.
