The Godfather Part lll (1990) 2/10
That's how I would have rated it when I saw when it was first released on VHS. Such a disappointment. Last year I re-watched it for the first time, though, and I enjoyed it. I will definitely re-watch it again.

People tend to get carried away with their negativity of it. Is it as good as the first two? Of course not. But it is still a very decent film. It's like people feel it needs to be "punished" for not living up to the extraordinary high standards set by the first two.

Man of Steel - Started off alright, but deteriorated the longer it went on for. Not something I'd watch again.

Nick of Time [1995]. Director: John Badham

6/10

Johhny Depp as the mild-mannered guy whose daughter is kidnapped to blackmail him into assassinating a state Governor. The pace never drops so you can enjoy the ride and ignore the absurd plot.

Reasonable Doubt [2014]. Director: Peter P. Croudins (Peter Howitt)

6/10

Ambitious lawyer gets involved in a hit & run accident and finds himself prosecuting a guy for killing the same victim. Loads of silly plot twists and Samuel L. Jackson playing one of his villainous roles.

*******
Good Luck Chuck [2007]. Director: Mark Helfrich

5/10

Crude romcom.

The Internship 8/10 with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson

I thought it was really good! Much funnier than I expected it to be.

L.A. Takedown - Early Michael Mann tv movie. Didn't like it much. Then again I'm not keen on Heat, either. 4/10

Also re-watched Die Another Day for the first time since I saw it at the cinema. Enjoyable escapist rubbish. 6/10

Deadpool (2016) - 10/10

Could have been churlish and knocked a point off for the ropey cgi of one of the characters but I'm not going to. This film genuinely made me laugh out loud in a crowd of strangers and that's no mean feat.

Sharp script and perfect casting of lead.

I watched this yesterday - and blummin h*ll it was a disturbing movie. I was glued from start to finish. I recommend it to anyone, but you do need a strong stomach in places. 9.5/10
It was the last film I saw and I totally agree with you. It's grim in places but it's compelling viewing propelled forward by an excellent Hugh Jackman. I'd recommend it.

8/10

Brother Bear 2 [2006]. Director: Ben Gluck

5/10

Native American tales, in the traditional, now largely abandoned, Disney animation style.

Roger Waters The Wall [2015]. Directors: Sean Evans & Roger Waters

7/10

The complete live production of The Wall, shot at various locations (and the close-ups shot before the actual gigs) intercut with footage of Roger Waters touring round Europe in his vintage Bentley visiting war graves and memorials, ending up at Anzio in Italy where his dad went missing believed killed in 1944.

Prince of Darkness

John Carpenter's return to low-budget after his 80s major studio outings showed he still had the chops. Blatantly derivative and slightly wayward, it still exerts a weird hypnotic grip from start to (splendid) finish. Cracking stuff. 8/10

The Shrine

Straight-to-DVD horror hokum, probably about the norm but with the odd eerie flourish. All you desaturation haters look away now. 5.5/10

Deadpool

See thread.
