The Martian 8/10
I've read the book and it mostly follows the story apart from a couple of disasters that were left out (the Pathfinder breaking down and the huge dust storm). A very good film though and Matt Damon was perfectly cast I think some people who haven't read the book won't understand how he manages to pull it off as it contains so much detail on he overcomes his problems. I'm not sure the film does it justice on that level. |

Gods of Egypt
Had been really looking forward to this for awhile now, so decided to give it a watch & I didn't even make it past the first hour before switching off. What a pile of crap ! |

The Children (2008)
If you like gore it doesn't disappoint. .story is a bit annoying and I didn't care about any of the characters at all! .good creepy child actors though! 5/10.. |

A Place in the Sun (1951) 10/10 - just superb. They really don't make movies like this any more.
The Witch (2015) 9/10 - you'll love it or hate it, there seems little in between. I loved it. |

X men apocalypse - surprisingly good after seeing the trailer I really didn't fancy it that much but I think I preferred it to Civil War. There never truly felt like anything was at stake in Civil War, the Quicksilver sequence was brilliant and Evan Peters is a movie or two away from A lister stardom 8/10

Interstellar. My favourite Christopher Nolan movie is Insomnia and this one is a perfect cure for that condition!

We Were Soldiers, 6/10
U-571, 5/10 (I probably missed a few minutes of it, because I kept dozing off during the last hour) Shanghai Noon, 3/10 (Owen Wilson = terrible actor, imo) |

10 Cloverfield Lane - 8/10
Would of been a 9 or 10 out of 10 but the last 10/15 minutes ruined it for me. Felt like I was watching a completely different film and the pacing was much much quicker than the previous 80 minutes. |

Behind Enemy Lines (2001), 6/10. It was alright-ish until the last fifteen or so minutes, when it became ridiculous. Once again, Owen Wilson proves he can't act for toffee. He also seemed to be impervious to damage, like a Terminator or something.

Wild Child. Absolutely appalling film but some nice shots of where I went to college.
