John Wick - 6/10. Starring Keanu Reeves, an action film which was pleasing enough to watch to pass the time but I felt the plot could have had more of an emotional punch.

Triangle - 7/10 - Wasn't expecting that! Mind-bending psychological horror / thriller

99 Homes - 5/10. Intriguing premise - what with commenting on the financial crisis and also homes being reclaimed. Also commenting on the state of capitalism. However, it's middling at best.

Biloxi Blues -7.5/10-

Cell (2016) Stephen King adaptation, with people going cray cray due to evil emissions from their phone.
Utter rubbish. Haven't read the book, but it had a King screenplay, so I imagine it was just as shit.
The most noticeable thing about it was how lead John Cusack was obviously concerned about his thinning hair in real life, deciding to spend most of the movie wearing a hat.

Slick and fun but the cheese overpowered what was a decent film underneath. 6/10.

Biopic of rap group NWA. Very good, can understand the gripe about no Best Actor Oscar nods.
Would have been better if I hadn't kept thinking of CB4 every couple of minutes.

Love & Mercy 7/10

The Counsellour 3/10. Movie was all over the place and I didn't care much for any of the characters. Style over substance.

Finishing School (1934) - 6.5/10

The Mist (2007) - First re-watch. Enjoyed it more second time around. Great performances by Toby Jones and Marcia Gay Harden. 7.5/10
