Watching Deer Hunter on TV channel - Brilliant film, not sure I'll be able to stomach it again.
That's awaiting my viewing, probably at the weekend 'cos you really need to put a decent amount of time aside to watch & fully appreciate it. One of, if not my favourite ever film(s) so can't wait!

In the meantime, Flying Blind 6.25/10.

Spoiler

Still, it managed to stay within 90 mins - which is my attention span limit for any film which falls short of amazing - so it passed the time satisfactorily...

Halloween Two (1981): 7/10: Better than I remembered, though nowhere near as good as the first film.

Creed (LINK)

I'm not a fan of any of The ROCKY movies. But I still watched this one and thought it was ok. I'm still not a fan but I have to admit that Sylvester Stallone gave a nice performance.

Tony - London serial killer .
Has anyone seen this ? . Quite a gritty seedy film about a middle aged lonely guy who seems to get his rocks off by killing people . Oddly amusing in parts . I did enjoy it but felt it was too short and ended before it had really got going

Solaris - Andrei Tarkovsky (1972)

Sci-fi meditation on love, reality and life type shenanigans.
9/10

The Shop On The High Street. - Directors: Ján Kadár,*Elmar Klos. (1965)

Beautifully judged Slovakian Holocaust 'comedy'. A lazy local odd job carpenter is made Aryan controller of an elderly Jewish lady's button shop. The deaf and confused lady thinks the carpenter is her new assistant and is unaware of the unfolding events within the town.
The two leads play out their roles with aplomb. As with many films where the story begins on the edges of the Holocaust the underlying darkness soon engulfs everyone lives.

A film that still holds a powerful relevance.
Winner of best 'Foreign Language Film' and 'Best Actress'

10/10

The Kid with a Bike (Le Gamin au Vélo). Wow, this was a revelation - I was completely immersed in & gripped by this! And it was less than 90mins long. 8.5/10.

The Mechanic - the original Charles Bronson version. Haven't seen it for a long time and it holds up well. I still prefer this to the remake - I could understand what was being said in this one and it has a bleaker 70's ending.

The lobster - Colin Farrell 1/10

Wish I had never watched it as i am still saddened and disturbed. I knew I should have turned off during the opening scene in which a woman got out a car and shot a donkey dead.
It got much worse trust me!

David Brent: Life on the Road (2016) 5/10

Same quality and number of laughs as an episode of The Office stretched over 96 min runtime.

Ipso facto can't hold a comedic candle to Partridge.
