Im a bit confused about the Albert- does Sharon own it again or is it only Vincents and she works for him? Wiki says she bought back 49% but I seriously cant remember any such transaction, so does anyone know whats going on? thanks

Sharon and Vincent own The Albert. Vincent owns 51% and Sharon owns 49% of The Albert. Vincent decided to make Sharon his business partner when Sharon mentioned she has contacts. Eg: suppliers.

I'm glad they didn't rename "The Albert" to "Pearls" for good.

I liked it as Pearls. I think it was a nice touch Vincent named it after his daughter. I don't like the name The Albert for a trendy bar. Pearls suits it much better. The Albert sounds like an old men's pub.

Vincent didn't make Sharon a business partner. She already owned half of the business, however Phil forged her signature and transferred everything over to Vincent. Sharon threatened Vincent in giving her half of the business back. She said she would go through the courts, it was much easier for Vincent to go along with this especially as He had blackmailed Phil into giving him the business anyway.

Pearls doesn't really sound young and trendy either.

I prefer The Albert and no I am not an old man

And thats another thing, as Sharons signature was forged then surely the transaction to Vincent was void anyway? Or am I reading to much into this

And I prefer Albert too, think its very in Sharons chatacter, as a counterpart to the Vic which is deeply rooted in Sharons history

It was absolutely rammed the other night, no wonder Vincent told Phil takings were up 20%. I saw at least three people in there, could hardly move for people all evening.

It would have been void but Sharon would still have had to go through the courts to prove it.

I am surprised no one has shortened it, we would call it something like Bertie's or the Ally or something

Ha ha it is very small. There is a reggae / urban music nightclub in Finsbury Park, London called Orleans and it's tiny. Really it's not much bigger than The Albert. The R & R is bigger than Orleans bar. One bloke said it's like a mouse hole in there. I don't know why bars are so small in Eastenders though. Maybe they are like that so that they don't have to hire loads of extras to fill them up in scenes?

Vincent gave 49% to Sharon leaving him with the controlling share of 51%.

Most likely, the Vic is rarely full these days too.

She still owns half of it. It's more Sharon's bar than Vincent's because she is the one who set up The Albert and she created the name and the decor. She always work at The Albert.

If Vincent has a 51% share then it's more his bar than Sharon's regardless of who chose the décor etc.

Neither of them make the place sounds particularly modern or trendy but I think The Albert works much better than Pearl's in that respect, Pearl's sounds more like a hairdressers that targets OAPs.

I can't wait until Phister/Bustlip (the bromance of the year) drive Vincent out of Walford. I hope Sharon gets his 51% and owns The Albert completely. Vincent only got his hands on it because he blackmailed Phil. Sharon did all the work to get those random extras to pretend they're having a good time being pressed up against each other gasping for air in that shoe box laughingly called a bar. Now that Phil has beaten the shit out of Vincent I'm shocked he didn't force him to sign back over his share of The Albert.

Should be renamed Angie's Den or The Albert.

I'm glad he never named it "Hubbards". What on earth were TPTB thinking calling him that? Vincent is a nice name, but Hubbard doesn't suit him. I hope Vincent sticks around for a long time. He's my favourite right now. I really, really hope him and Claudette bring down the bloody Mitchells for good. I also want to see Vincent's other bar (s). Does he have it still? Remember he spoke of Ronnie walking into his bar ages ago? It was in an early appearance of Vincent. Richard Blackwood said his character is a "more modern type of villain". I'd like to see him with other criminals played by extras now and again, maybe coming in and out of the Albert / Pearls. He's got family which is good. Him and Claudette are interesting characters. Donna and Kim have grown on me since he turned up. They've both improved since his arrival and with their connection to Vincent. Giving him family in the Square suggests he's not leaving any time soon. I would be so happy if we see the end of the Mitchells. (Cue Mitchell fans saying they won't be axed. It doesn't stop me from wishing they would just leave or better still get killed off in a gas explosion ) I think some oldie fans just prefer nostalgia and characters that have been there years. Nothing wrong with that, each to their own but I find the Mitchells so boring I'd like for Vincent to have a brother turn up and help Vincent put Phil and Buster in their place!

Peggy needs to come back and wipe the floor with Claudette. She's a joke. I think Sharon's biological dad will have a big feud with Vincent. Vincent will never win against the Mitchells because the Mitchells always win.
