The commonest thing I hear when people mention Corrie is "what a load of rubbish it is at the moment". I haven't heard a Corrie plotline or character discussed for over months now.

Yeah I agree.

When the Emmerdale plane crash happened, it was mentioned in Brookside in the petrol station by Bing Crosby. It was on the front of one of their papers.
