I could see mum of the year McBeale actually blaming sweet innocent bobby when it was really her
but yeah when he gets bored I am sure the killer will change |

The moment Bobby hit Lucy, were Ian and Jane the only other people in the house?

I can see another producer reversing this awful decision. Get Jane out of Beale family and let them get back some creditability .

I thought perhaps she already had a head injury from her fall and Bobby just helped things along. Eg if Bobby hadn't hit her and she did something else instead that would have killed her instead.

The greatest trick Bob ever pulled, was convincing the world he didn't exist.

I'm really surprised at the number of people who don't like this decision - I think it's great and has the potential to run for years until the little psycho kills again.
It's so dark and it's beyond frustrating to watch innocent people get sacrificed for the hell child, but it's a really good soap storyline. |

By now I think people have gotten used to the fact that Bobby is the murderer and are ok with it. Although it's interesting, I have a feeling that if the murderer were to change there would be a lot of complaints especially if the 'real murderer' was another Beale who was fine with the others thinking Bobby did it.

I don't want it to turn out that somebody else killed Lucy. The whole 30th anniversary was building up to the exposing of Lucy's killer. If the producers later down changed the killer, it would make the whole 30th anniversary a farce. Bobby being the killer has enabled a story which is both dark and original. Watching the Beales try relentlessly to prevent the truth from coming out - no matter whose expense it is at - is gritty drama at its best.

Bobby, max, jake, ben, denise and abi collectivly killed lucy. I don't recall whitney touching her or billy.
Bobby was just the final blow after so many head injuries. |

I do think Jane has been ruined as a character as a result of this storyline. I have zero sympathy for her. Hopefully she will eventually take the blame and bugger off to prison as she's dragging Ian down with her at the moment. Although my tolerance for Ian has reached an all time low, and I never minded him before. Bobby should receive some kind of punishment too but not sure exactly what.

It'd be great if the Bobby nonsense wasn't the conclusion to such a big story and hadn't made it into a joke, but it was and did. Quote:

Besides that, changing it now would mean that I at least would never trust ANYTHING they did again. This wasn't another red herring, we were told in Feb 2014 that Lucy would be killed, the whodunit would go on for 10 months until the killer was revealed at the 30th Anniversary. It wasn't a small plotline, advertising campaigns, the Press everything told us we would be told the name of the killer in Feb 2015. It was even reported on the News for crying out loud. For them to turn round months or even years later and "psych, actually it was just another 'twist', he wasn't really the killer" would be a massive betrayal of trust. Why should anybody ever invest in a storyline, turn in for a 'reveal' if they can't be sure that it is actually the truth? |

I really hope that the fight between Denise and Lucy will eventually be revealed but now it might be too late. They didn't show us much, but Lucy was quite shaken after it. I think Denise might have actually caused her a brain hemorrhage and Bobby just spared her the pain.
