Corrie: worst hair dye job ever
Tracy's ex husband must surely dye his hair. He's, what? 48 and no grey hair?
Did anyone see him standing outside Nick's restaurant, the sun shining on his hair? There were a combination of colors, from black, purple, some reds and his hair ends had a hard, overdyed look. ![]() Guys that age, man, give it up!

Yes it matters. having dark dyed hair looks worse than salt and pepper. Quote:

Probably a mixture of different black hair dyes that have different undertones.

I can't say I've noticed or thought about it. I'm 47, female and colour my hair various different shades depending on my mood and the time of year. Is it different for men? It's his hair after all. I think he looks OK. Not really my type but he's presentable enough.

Looking at Andy Burnham's odd hair (wig or weave?) perhaps odd hair is normal in those parts.

It's a bit too obvious, but you can't blame actors of either sex for dyeing their hair as they get older if it increases their chances of getting work.

Could this post be any more ageist?
People go grey at 18, people keep their hair colour until they are in their eighties. There are no age restrictions on the packet and it's nobody's business if someone chooses to dye their hair or not whatever their age. |

Not everyone with dark hair dyes it. I'm 72 and am darker now than when I was 20 - very dark brunette. But naturally everyone, except my hairdresser, thinks I dye it - I don't.
Hairpieces were all the rage in the 60s and we had curls piled on top of our heads, I had one custom made to match my then hair colour. I've still got it and it's lighter than my hair currently is. My mother only had about half a dozen grey hairs when she died at 82. Both my brothers were white by the time they were 30. I swore I'd never dye it after seeing a woman, who hadn't used a permanent dye, with it running down her face in the rain. Embarrassing. Also there's the telltale hint of white at the base of the hair shaft unless it's touched up every day.Unlike most, I desperately want to go grey (to go with the wrinkles ) but my hair stubbornly refuses to do so.

My psychiatrist who is fairly young, maybe early 40s, has a full head of grey hair cut in a really flattering bob. She's a very attractive woman. My natural hair has a few grey streaks which at 47 I'm not ready for! I agree that soap stars of either gender who are playing a hot character will colour their hair. The actress who plays Brenda in Emmerdale has nice white and grey hair which really suits her. Lisa looks nice too. Denise Black was asked to grow out her hair so that it was all grey to play Kyle's grandmother. She looks fine. It depends on the character. Jo Joyner was asked by Eastenders bosses to keep her hair blonde for Tanya when she wanted to go brunette which really suited her when she left and dyed it brown.

My then boyfriend told me off (I dumped him!) I don't need to touch up my hair every day. Maybe once every two months. Doing it daily would wreck your hair and it doesn't grow that quick. June Brown who plays Dot in Eastenders wears a wig for the show. Her own hair is very dark with a white streak. It really suits her and she looks totally different.
