I'd say it's an exact cross between BTD and Ultraviolence.

Listened to this last night before the audio clip was removed from YouTube.

It's alright, but Lana hasn't release anything in the same league as the tracks from Born To Die. I liked West Coast but as a whole I found Ultraviolence a bit disappointing.

High By The Beach didn't click after two plays last night. Still hoping there's something fantastic around the corner. Honeymoon is another track I just didn't get. It just bored me rather than draw me in.

Haven't heard this yet but it kinda has to deliver for me because I found the first track to be rather uninspiring. I hope she isn't stuck in a creative rut because she has so many incredible songs out there that have been leaked but never given a proper release.

For me ultraviolence far surpasses BTD and Paradis for me i find it has more depth and coherance and TBH BTD has aged quite badly. Its a great sound and aestetich but its not something i wish her to return to.

It's pretty good. Not her best song by any means, but I do like it. Am really looking forward to her new album.

Btw, does anyone know if there's a comprehensive list of all the unreleased songs Lana recorded that have leaked? I read that there are at least 200 of them online but I've only heard/got around 100! I'd like to know what the other 100+ are that I'm missing, lol! She has to be one of the most prolific singer/songwriters around! She's amazing.

I had a lot of time for her last album, but this is horrible. Probably the worst single she's released yet.

The quality of Lana's unreleased songs is absolutely astounding, if I were to list my favourite 10 Lana songs I'd say probably half would come from the unreleased list!!!

I don't know why she doesn't just do an album with about 10 of those songs.

the starred ones are my absolute favourites.

I genuinely envy you - I wish I was just discovering her as there is an absolute avalanche of incredible songs to discover - both released and unreleased. She has way over 100 unreleased songs that we know about (there may be 100s more, only Lana really knows!) and an unbelievable %tage of them would grace any album from literally any artist. Why she hasn't released them Lord only knows - she's clearly not in it for the money as there would be at least 4/5 classic albums worth of material to be gleaned from them.

Some of the suggestions so far are definitely worth checking out. One that hasn't been mentioned already that I absolutely love is On Our Way (there's a rare 'made by Lana' video of the song if you search). Damn You is arguably my favourite ever song by any artist, released or unreleased (it's an absolute masterpiece!)

I really wasn't feeling this one. Shock horror a Lana song that didn't instantly blow me away. See I'm not biased and don't just like everything she does just for the sake of it. Which must mean I was genuinely was blown away by all her other releases (i.e. all albums + 200 million odd unreleased song on the web). And then I saw the video...

Ok now I am converted and my god what a video!

Lana mentioned she wanted to make a film with her pal James Franco about a women trapped in her house feeling like people spy on her all day. Surely not based on her own life, of course. I'm guessing she decided to turn it into this video instead. I so wish somebody would let her make a full lengh film. The imagery here is extrodinary, good to see Lana's is back on form.

The final shot with her shooting the super gun is something else. As her young fans on web often tend to say: "Slay Queen!"

But it wasn't as "pop" I suppose. Shame.

This song is growing on me somewhat but it doesn't really seem like single material and lacks the drive that songs like Ride and Cola have. There's a lot of talk about her going back to the Born To Die sound but those songs are the ones I would much rather she takes inspiration from. I do want her to keep adapting her music though rather than doing a rehash. Was Ultraviolence a commercial disappointment?
