Belkin @TV Plus
I was interested in this because I wanted to be able to watch a programme on my nexus tablet that I recorded on my freesat freetime box. Does anyone have any experience of this and what the picture quality is like on the tablet. It looks really easy to set up.

Reading reviews and specs, this is a fairly old device and software specs only mention windows 7 and earlier android. I suspect people are selling it so cheap just to get rid of it.
I would be wary of buying this. Check return policy of vendor carefully if you decide to risk it. You can buy a second hand slingbox solo (i have one and it works well even on windows 10) for a little extra on ebay. A slingbox will adapt quality of picture of to maatch your upload speed. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Slingbox-S...item235617d527 If you can copy files from freeview box to pc, you could just use Plex to stream files over internet for nothing. |

Ok, got the first bit. But plex and that is well out of my limited technical capabilities. I was looking at the EE tv leaflet and got me thinking was there anything out there that would do it cheaper and utilise my humax freesat recordable box.

At the end of the day, the belkin might be fine, but understand the potential risk. |

If you can copy files from freeview box to pc, you could just use Plex to stream files over internet for nothing. Had it been the older Foxsat-hdr or a Humax Freeview+ pvr it would be fairly simple. Using the CF on a Foxsat-hdr or a simple utility on the Freeview+ boxes (FOXY) you can even do HD. Incidentally HD looks great on a Nexus 7, you just need some large capacity USB sticks and a OTG cable. |

Sorry this has completely lost me and I apologise for my lack of technical knowledge. Are you saying that my freesat box would not work with the Belkin@tv plus or the slingbox or something else.

You will not be able to copy files from freesat box to PC and use Plex. |

http://www.amazon.co.uk/OTG-LIFETIME...exus+otg+cable You also need the app and a video app like BSplayer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDq0MLkE3Pg |

I think I am going to go for the slingbox. All I want to do is record something like match of the day and watch it on my tablet in bed. Would I be able to start watching before it finished recording. Also how do you switch the slingbox and the freesat box on and off. Is it done by the app on the tablet.
