So his exit will be linked to secrecy around Bobby being the killer? I genuinely like Liam and Cindy, think they have potential

I agree. James definatly is growing into the role and the character has plenty of potenial. Like Lola, axing him is a mistake even if carol is leaving.

I hope he is not killed off.

Definitely Axing Liam a mistake. There will be barely any younger characters left .

Exactly, both Lola and Liam - young characters who have huge potential. Soaps are always good when there's a breadth of age, DTC only cares about the older generations.

James wasn't axed....he chose to leave. And I love Cindy and Liam together, they work well

Defo a shame Liam is going, he really grew into the role and Cindy is isolated without him, would like her to go but she is pretty much the anointed one I think.

It's a shame Liam is going as the show needs some teenage characters rather than you just young adults. Now he is older he really has shown real potential and how good he can be. Liam and Cindy work well together.

Are you sure he chose to leave? It's not the impression I got from reading various articles at the time.

I like Liam but when I watch Mimi Keene as Cindy I think it's a case of when rather than if she'll become a big star. She has 'it' and I think they she and Lorna Fitzgerald are part of the future for a few years.

I prefer the older characters. There were far too many younger characters in my view

If Liam leaves without telling his beloved nan Carol the truth then it's just yet more shit writing from TPTB.

Please bear in mind that Liam is a criminal and a psycopath, and needs to be locked up with immediate effect. I'll hope you'll all reconsider your pro-Liam the psychopath criminal stances.

Thanks.

I think Jane and Ian come back and tell cindy its max and she lets out she's told Liam and they tell Liam that cindy will say that because her and Bobby had a fight! But Liam won't by it so cindy will have to chose between Liam and Bobby

Yes, he was axed. It was inevitable, following Patsy Palmer's decision to leave.

I agree but she seems too get a hard time on DS but I think she is good and improving all the time. The Beale family is a good little unit acting wise imo

He may very well end up suffering the consequences of getting on the wrong side of an even worse psycho of the Beale variety

Which Beale? Squeal, Jane or Bobby? There's not much to choose between them all.

I would love Bobby to take Phil down when he is a teenager! Imagine that after all the hardmen Phil has got the better of?

I do have to agree. He underuses every single one and if now on the happy trigger axing them.
Its one reason he has to go. He comes off quite ageist if you ask me.

But now there's hardly any. The only reason we're seeing Cindy is because she's tied to the Lucy storyline. Where's Whitney? I can count on one hand how many weeks we've seen her on screen this year. What happened to Tamwar/Nancy or Lee's depression?

Kirkwood destroyed the show in 2010 with too many younger characters, hardly any older ones and now DTC could be doing the same if he tips the generational balance the other way.
