In tonight's episode when Bobby pushed Cindy she landed in the exact same spot as Lucy when she was killed. The scene was almost mirrored to what happened in the flashback episode with Jane walking in.

I've seen a few mixed reactions about this scene but personally I thought it was clever how they did it. Jane was scared that there could have been a repeat of the Lucy incident and Bobby even lied at first by saying that Cindy fell over.

Do you think the scene was good to do or was it a bit over the top / silly that Cindy landed in the same place?

It wasn't the most subtle of plot devices... but we have to remember that EE is made for lowest common denominator audiences. I thought it was fine as a dramatic technique. Bob hurting MyCindy is definitely not fine, though

I thought it was clever. I did point out actually & the way Cindy just lay there for a moment too had me worried Bob had killed her.

I wouldn't say that it was clever scene, but it was a good reminder. However, it was premature. They should have done it closer to the real reveal where the characters find out who it was.

It was the best scene of the night, with Cora almost tied.

It really affected Cindy and Jane. Tonight's was a fantastic episode, great cast and stories. Now that Liam knows how long before Carol finds out about Bobby? She'll have teeth and claws out for Jane! Abi will be taught a lesson too, eventually that is. Usually I wouldn't like such a long running story line but this has become brilliant. I really enjoyed tonight's episode.

I thought it was great - right down to Bobby's eerily similar attempts at blaming Cindy for what he did because he did that on the night Lucy died as well. The story about Lucy provoking him never made sense, or him being able to clobber her over the head when she stood up never made sense, and I think tonight gave a pretty clear indication of the type of ways he could have killed her.

I'm torn between wanting everyone to find out what Bobby did, and for it to take years for it to come out. It is going to send Jane and Cindy to the madhouse eventually, but idec, it's great to watch the little psycho on his reign of terror and Ian and Jane helping him cover it up.

It does ask the question how much Bobby actually remembers and as the scene indicated he was quick to blame Cindy, does it reveal that Bobby is lying and playing along and knows exactly what he done, I didn't buy that Jane convinced him otherwise.

That's a good point.

The way she was just lying there clearly breathing looked odd but I get why they did it, as a previous poster said they aren't known for subtlety and this certainly wasn't a subtle connection between Lucy and Cindy.

Cindy was clearly in shock and scared of what Bobby was capable of. She found herself laying in the very spot where Lucy died at the hands of Bobby after he'd assaulted her. It would have been like she was following in Lucy's footsteps. Also, if I remember rightly, part of her fear for Beth was that they'd protect Bobby above her like they chose Bobby over Lucy that night. As soon as Ian walked in and saw what happened, he immediately took Bobby's side and blamed Cindy for his actions. I'm glad Jane finally saw sense and intended to tell the truth about Lucy's death, but I'm guessing Cora's admission will put a spanner in the works of that now. But a big HAHAHA to Abi!

Eh excuse me young man, you may fall into the lowest common denominator category but I certainly don't. How very dare you, how very very dare you

It's made me wonder about Lucy's death; Bobby is quite short and I fail to see how he hit her on the head with the music box whilst she was standing. Therefore, did he push her, which lead to her fall; I'm guessing at that point that she verbally lashed out and he hit her with the box to shut her up.

personally I think he knows exactly what he did - he isnt a small child and he isnt stupid, he knows he killed her and he knows there will be a punishment if he admits that he knows what did so he is going along with what his mum has told him

Bob knows alright. He pinned Lucy down and smacked her with his music box 2 dozen times, whilst making her beg for forgiveness.

I thought it was a brilliant scene, I especially enjoyed Cindy's argument/conversation with Jane and Ian where she basically said how messed up Bobby was and how he needed help, it was like after months of bottling what he did up and acting like normal everything came spilling out after he pushed her into the exact spot and I loved it. I'm just curious how Liam is going to know what happened and not go to the police though

It's not even just the fact that he attacked Cindy then immediately played the innocent to try & get away with it, but the way he was talking about Max earlier in the episode - it was messed up.

he immediately said "it wasnt my fault" just like he did with Lucy, he knows what he did, both times, he knows what he did was wrong, if he had no idea what he was doing was wrong, he wouldnt have said "it wasnt my fault" both times

he is one very messed up boy who needs help - fast

Exactly - his go to answer was to blame his victim. His story never tied into the one we saw in the flashbacks about Lucy and I think last night Jane realised that herself.

Bobby knows, he just playing dumb because he knows his parents are willing to do anything to protect him. He'll use it against them, maybe even threaten to kill them if they grass him up.
