Tracy Barlow - Does the character still have potential?
I always thought she was a great bad girl who was meant to rival Charlie Brooks' Janine Butcher on Eastenders.
Kate Ford to over the role and along with Peter Barlow brought Coronation Streets original family back to the forefront. Some what over the top and being the only character to break Corries "moral code of conduct" two times, Kate gives a decent perfmermance when needed. Her grief for her mother Deirdre Barlow was great and her chemistry with returnee Rob Donovan was great. However I would like her to have more scenes with her being nicer to Amy Barlow and Simon Barlow. I genuinely think they are the making of her being a long term player on the street. Even a tough approch to Simon would be great with his temper lately. Hopefully Robert Preston (fit!) will flesh out the character. Some actual emotion of killing/murdering Kal Nazir, Maddie Heath and Charlie Stubbs. I like the fact she gets away with everything though! |

It is under 3 months ago since she tried to kill Carla in cold blood when Carla had done sod all intentionally to hurt Tracy. Her biggest crimes are murder with intent, 2 manslaughter charges and an attempted murder charge. Those are just the massive things, she's done business with stolen goods, lied about being pregnant, lied about how she lost her baby, manipulated so many people and just doesn't really care about anyone else aside from what they can do to help her
It's hard to care for a character who should be serving a life sentence and is generally a horrible human being. |

I like Tracy a lot now, Blackburn has added a lot of depth to her character and changed her from the one dimensional villain she once was. And has actually added emotion and feelings to her.

Last evenings interaction between Ken, Tracy and Amy was brilliantly written, directed and acted. Amy is an amazing young actress, a pleasure to watch. Tracy is showing more depth to her character, but I think Robert is a mistake, he just doesn't seem to fit in.

Just cannot stand her. Nasty and vile for no reason gets very wearying at times. I switched off last night from the Tracy show.

I'm loving Tracy right now and Kate Ford has been brilliant lately. Loved last nights 2 parter, nice to have a break from the dreadful Callum too.
I like Tracy and Amys relationship now, and i'm enjoying Robert. I'm almost annoyed she did start the fire as i'm sure it will all come out soon. |

The whole thing stinks of yet another Blackburn miracle character change just to suit whatever story he's dreamed up!! 'Overnight redemption Tracy' just doesn't work for me I'm sfraid!! |

It's an insult to Janine to compare them.

London gets Janine, the North gets Tracy Barlow. |

I love Tracy even when she is being wicked though I do prefer the more caring emotional side of her..it will be interesting to see her reactions when Rob returns...a great character played by a good actress..

At this moment in time, I'd say no but maybe I'll get used to nice Tracy eventually. Like notdebbiedingle, I feel like she's been such a cow for so long, it's hard to see her any other way. They've done a good job moving Zeedan from Mr Surly to a somewhat mature man but he hasn't got anything like the previous that Tracy has. It might be for the best just to keep her a villain, like Nasty Nick from EE and bring her back intermittently.
Plus, Robert's bound to cheat again which will surely send Tracy off the rails once more. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened before Christmas. |

Dreadful acting last week, in my opinion.
She doesn't even know how to cry! |
