I've been watching for a while and I've absolutely no idea what has suddenly turned Bobby Beale into a mini Damien, unless it's the fact he's addicted to Minecraft and video games.

The only plausible fact I can see is the years of neglect. The fact that whenever he's in a scene he's quickly asked to leave the room or go upstairs.

I suppose that would get to you after a while.

There could be some merit there Steven. Abi was asked to get the door one too many times and she ended up all murderous and that as well. Definitely a correlation.

At least he manages to venture out of his room, even thought he's sent back almost immediately. Sharon's Denny is still trying to work out a means of escape from his!

Jane actually managed to have a whole conversation with him in tonight's episode without telling him where to go. But he exacted his revenge by running off instead!

It's the Robert 'Murderous psychopath Bob' Beale school of acting:

1) Never, ever use a doorway to enter a scene. Always appear looming in the shadows asking frustrated questions.
2) Exit the scene before it's over, always. Either get sent out by your Scotch sociopathic alleged mother, or just run away.

Well his mother died when he was a baby/toddler. It was thought, for a while, that his father was Gary Hobbs, in fact it was Ian Beale, (only because his vasectomy didn't work.)
Gary gave him the name Bobby after Bobby Moore, as he was a West Ham fan - that's 4 reasons why he has been traumatized.

I can't remember if Bobby was around when Steven, his half brother, shot Jane, but if he was, that must have had an impact. When Ian had his breakdown, Lucy was looking after Bobby, while trying to protect him from what had really happened. Then Lucy was killed.

It could be that he is like every other soap child - don't speak until they are about 5, and then you can't shut them up! Or maybe he suspects that he killed Lucy when he hit her, and he is physically expressing his anger/guilt.

But he's been upstairs for most of his life.
