I can't stand Abba but The Day Before You Came is melancholy pop genius! They should play it as the onhold music for Dignitas.

Only discovered it recently. Voulez Vouz and Gimme Gimme are good too.

Has anyone heard 'Opus 10' (the tune that became Anthem in Chess)?
I'd have loved to hear Agnetha and Frida singing 'I Know Him So Well' at one point

The Day Before You Came, my absolutely favourite Abba track. I think it is actually very underrated.

Dance (While the Music Still Goes On)
Another Town, Another Train
Honey, Honey

Awful rubbish:-

My favourite subject

I don't think any are overrated, especially not SOS. I love the boys but probably the songs they sing on are among my least favourite, Does Your Mother Know? for instance. Hole In Your Soul isn't a top favourite musically but I'm even quite fond of that because when my mum first heard it, it didn't sound like the ABBA she was used to me and my sister listening to and she asked if it was the new punk music! Thats even funnier to me now lol.

Underrated - so many!

Hey, Hey Helen (of course! )
The Piper (lyrics aren't throwaway like people imagine)
Happy Hawaii
That's Me
If It Wasnt For The Nights
So Long (I like the dance lol)
Cassandra
Our Last Summer
The Visitors (funnily enough it's Benny's keyboards that make this one)
The Way Old Friends Do
Eagle

Slipping Through My Fingers and Happy New Year make me cry

I'm not really a great album buyer, I probably like four or five songs each from hundreds of artists but I adore all the ABBA albums because I grew up with them, I'm glad so many of their less well known songs are appreciated

The Visitors whole album.

Also, the Voulez Vous album, though very popular at the time, seems to have been cast aside over time, due to the fact that it was their most overt 'disco' sounding album. Its (for me), their most cohesive 70's album.

Me & I & Eagle.

Basically, most songs sung by Frida! (The superior vocalist).

Are their albums any good, I have a double greatest hits CD and singles album. Anything on them that matches the hits?

Eagle is my all time favourite song and is a masterpiece that is little known. As you average bod if they have heard of it and more often than not they just look at you!

Such a beatifullly constructed soaring tune. Bliss

Based firstly purely on their singles...

Over-Rated -

Super Trouper
I Have A Dream
Does Your Mother Know
Voulez Vous (Although a double A-side single I thought Angel Eyes, was way better and should have been the A side on its own)

Under-Rated - and singles that should have been number 1's instead of the likes of Super Trouper...

One Of Us
SOS
Chiquitita

Criminally under-rated at the time but now seemingly and rightly(!) considered an absolute classic -

The Day Before You Came

Should have done way better than it's UK number 38 peak -

I Do, I Do, I Do......

Album tracks that should have been singles -

The Visitors (possibly my favourite ever track by them. If you haven't heard it check out the 'Hot Tracks Extended Mix' on You Tube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fl8tAULB45Q 8 and a half minutes of perfection!).
Also...
Eagle
Tiger
Hole In Your Soul
That's Me
Move On
When All Is Said And Done

Probably would (or at least should) have been a number one if given a proper release and not just a '12inch' only one -

Lay All Your Love On Me. Although from what I recall the fact it got as high as number 7 as a 12" only release was considered quite a unique achievement at the time.

That's Me and Eagle are two of my favourite abba songs. The visitor is very good also.

I used to dislike mamma mia but it's grown on me as I've gotten older.

"Summer Night City" is in my opinion their most underrated of their bigger hits. I just love the drama of it all.

If It Wasn't For The Nights
I've Been Waiting For You
Gonna Sing You My Love Song
I'm A Marionnette

I also love Hey, Hey Helen and My Mama Said. Maybe Head Over Heels.

Although on different days I would add more.

All of their songs are overrated in my opinion, since they are more rated than songs I consider to be much better, that aren’t known at all.

'The Visitors' was too good to be a B side in my opinion. So under rated.
