Are Ian and Jane as bad as or worse than Chrissie Watts?
10 years ago Chrissie framed Sam for Den's murder and was pleading innocence for nearly a year. This plot is a bit different since the killer doesn't know what he did. Plus Sam was part of the cover up, unlike Max in this one.
But the lengths Ian and Jane are going to conceal the truth bears some similarities to that one. I know how popular Chrissie still is, but at the time was she getting the kind of frosty reception the Beales get at the moment? |

I don't recall and by rights I should hate Chrissie as she offed one of the best characters in soap but the woman was so damn fabulous I loved her. And Sharon gave her a fabulous wallop at the airport!

Ian and Jane haven't killed anyone. They aren't framing Max, because there is evidence against him; they're just keeping quiet about what they know.
Chrissie framed Sam to draw attention away from herself. |

In a way it started with a small mistake (yes I know it started with a violent death) that resulted in a lie and to keep that original lie secret, another lie was needed and then another one ... and so it spiraled out of control . By now Ian and Jane have invested too much time and energy to be able to just get out of it .

I'm enjoying the story but there's no getting over that! Jane the Corpse Shuffler. |

No I wouldn't say they are, there actions are propelled by desperation/love, they don't look at Bobby and think murderer they see their child who in their eyes they need to protect at any cost because the truth will in their eyes ruin he life.
Lucy is gone they can't bring her back but they can try and save him from a road of destruction, they are greatly in denial and are blinded, there not framing Max but they are allowing him to take the fall for something he didn't do that is the slight difference. Chrissie was a fab character, she was saving her own neck, she wasn't inherently evil she just become another desperado who didn't want to go down for something she didn't see was her fault, in her eyes Den and Zoe was at fault. |

Chrissie's sl was great, it was solely her deceiving everyone and it was amazing for her character. Whereas this has done nothing positive for the Beales imo, live week was great bit ever since then I haven't liked this sl.
