Why must Ola get one of the two tallest guys?

Although Peter and Ola have said before they would like to be partners, apart from Ann W Strictly (unlike DWTS) seem to steer away from giving people their hoped for partners rather than following their wishes.

I think it depends on the sway of the celebrity - I don't know for certain but I got the feeling last year that Caroline Flack really wanted Pasha and I think she could have put a request in for him - she seemed really delighted when she got him. I remember when Russell Grant did the show he announced in his press release that he wanted either Ola or Flavia - he got Flavia so his wish was granted, but then on other hand you get contestants like Lulu who was clearly hopping mad when she got Brendan, so if she put a request in, it was obviously ignored, perhaps because she was such a diva.

Personally the idea of Ola with Peter is sending me to zzzzz already, especially if she churns out her same old choreography, but the BBC did say in his press release he was keen to partner Ola so I think there's a good chance she'll get him.

Yes, I was thinking of Lulu (who I think wanted Vincent), Harry who wanted Ola, Kara who wanted James/Anton () etc... As much as I'm not a fan, I think Peter has a pretty good chance of winning (especially if the pros comments about him being really good are true) so I guess it also depends on whether they want Ola to be the first pro to win twice.

I see Peter as this years Jason Donovan for some reason - so watching Ola or rather James wind himself up into Kristina levels of frenzy could be fun

Yes, he is sort of a Jason Donovan/Mark Wright hybrid, so will probably reach the final then be out first.

I'd have thought Peter would make sense with a newbie professional. He's got support out there so doesn't need professional dancer fan base in early rounds. But what do I know 😁

I think Peter is probably going to start off really strongly like Jason Donovan did and the judges will come out with 'You're the one to watch' type comments, and I can also see him having a mid series dip like Donovan especially if he's promting his album - I said before I think he's going to make at least one appearance in the bottom 2 before the finals, unfortunately for him it looks like he's got strong female competition in Helen And Georgia and male competition in Jay and possibly one of the young sportsmen, so I'm glad he's not getting an easy ride, if the plan is from the producers, for him to make it to the finals. And yeah it'll be hilarious if he gets Ola, watching her turn from the cat that's got the cream to a nervous wreck through all the twists and turns and that's possibly going to be the only interesting thing in their partnership to me.

I think we'll have to wait and see, I think Otlile is possibly a bit too tall for him, but he's on record as saying he wants Ola which is why many posters are predicting she'll get him.

Think Ola might not get a partner this year.
