CS Leanne last night
I thought she handled the Simon situation in the Bistro last night all wrong. She was like a fish wife yelling and shouting. She shouldn't have frog marched Simon home like that when she was supposed to be working. She was responsible for those children and she just left them. She should have rung the parents and explained what happened and told them to come collect their Son. Once she got Simon home she could have told him off. They had better hope the parents do not call the Police.

Your quite right of course......But Leanne is a hot headed woman...she acts before she thinks and at the moment all she can see is Simon spiraling out of control and there seems to be absolutely nothing she can do about it ..at the same time images of Peter in a drunken stupor must be at the forefront of her mind aswell...I can completely understand her acting the way she did....it would be afterwards once she had calmed down that she would have regretted the way she had handled the whole situation..

You're right but she is the same in every story line, always kicking off at someone, stomping around in a strop, whinging and wailing.

I do think she was unprofessional in shouting them down in the middle of a load of diners. She should have taken them out the back or something. Creating a scene like that surrounded by paying customers would be a big no no in my book. I have to give a mention to Jane's acting when they were back at the flat though. I thought she was absolutely brilliant. I know she's a fab actress but she took it up a level last night for me. So I'll forgive Leanne the restaurant scene lol.

I'd send the little brat to live with Grandad Ken. Auntie Trace would soon sort him. She doesn't take no shit. It'd be her way of the high way, and if he tried doing otherwise he'd soon find himself planted over the over head with a heavy blunt object and sent to the bottom of the canal!

I like Jane Danson, think she is a good actress, Simon, for some reason suddenly cannot act. He is very wooden and keeps looking out the corner of his eye at the camera. She should parcel him up and post him to whatever remote island his drunken father has skived off to. What happened to his other set of grandparents? Can't she stick him on a bendy bus back to Blackpool and give us all a rest? Honestly, Simon, once a brat always a brat.

Despite Leannes best efforts she can't control him. All she does is shout. You actually feel sorry as she moans at him. You know full well - he is going to hit 16 and walk.
He respects the men - ie Ken, Nick and Zeedan. But the only one he pays attention to is Peter. The more she moans at him his hackles go up and gives as good as he gets back. Leanne doesn't know any different. The only weapon she has is moaning. But he should be given to Peter or Ken straight away... |

Leanne has been taking crap off Simon for quite some time now, where she has been physically assaulted and verbally abused.
Last night she had had enough, which is why she snapped, she did say she was going to call the children's parents, before marching Simon out. She even told him she had had enough. I personally have no idea how this child has suddenly just turned into a monster. Kal's death? Why? Far worse have happened. |

I think Leanne reacted like any normal parent upon discovering their 12 year old child got pissed on an expensive bottle of Vodka with mates at the restaurant she's works at that could affect trading standards etc. Simon needed to get the law laid on him and that his behaviour will not be tolerated.
It would be the tipping point of the long line of things that have happened in the past few months. I think Leanne also lost the plot because it would bring back a lot of memories being married to Peter with his struggle with the booze and her not wanting Simon to go the same route as Peter. |

It's all very well Leanne putting all the blame on Curly, and threatening to call the police to search for the booze ( ), but in fact the responsibility is hers. They are children - she should have supervised them more closely. Of course Leanne should have explained and apologised to those parents before dealing with Simon - that could have waited. And it would have been better if she'd listened to Simon's side, no matter how crap his excuse. It seemed to me the other kid pressurised him into getting the booze; it's really common for kids to be pushed into doing dodgy things by peer pressure, and if Leanne had heard him out it could've led to a proper discussion about this.I hope Leanne meant what she said about seeing someone about Curly - I can't believe she hasn't done it already. Her doctor or Si's school would have at least some advice for her; she could even buy a book on dealing with troublesome teens or try Google. |

I think the Hat was having a 'Grange Hill' moment. Dreadful acting from most of them, only saved by traceylove.

If she is finding it "unbearable" now, she needs to brace herself. There will be a lot more where that came from in the years from age 12 to 16/17.

Leanne had every right to be Angry, Simon stole the Vodka which could have lost her job and Nick his licence, and as for him trying to pass the buck all onto his friend
Simon deserved to be humiliated.

One thing I will say is I hope they give Leanne a happier storyline after this. She reminds me of Ronnie Mitchell in EastEnders; came on bright and bubbly before being dragged down over and over again.

She was stupid having the kids there and she was hopeless the way she dealt with the situation.
She should send him to his mother's father. |

I have to agree that whilst I find Leanne intolerable sometimes, the actress playing her is faultless. Compared to some of her contemporaries on the cobbles, Danson is practically Oscar worthy, and in this whole storyline with Simon, she is the only thing keeping me remotely engaged.
I can't bear to see sullen Zedan constantly around her though, it makes me fearful that they will try and pair the 2 up and that is something I really cannot bear to even consider. IMO, Leanne should remain single, and get back with Peter, when he returns so that they can help Simon resolve his issues as a family. I do not want to see the actress wasted on filler crap like a cougar romance with her dead fiance's son. |
