Anyone with a Panasonic TX-28DTS3 (or TX-32DTS3) iDTV received the update yet?

Has the initial update gone out to the regular Thomsons? I recently had my Amstrad replaced with a new Thomson box (fault on the Amstrad box) so have lost my red dot removing abilities, yet alone having the new EPG colours!

No update for the Amstrad DRX-500. Hopefully it will be done early next week.

I was wondering! - I should know this, doh!

How do you find out which firmware your sky remote operates on?

Is there a handset test or some other art form?

Any help would be great, with thanks...

You can look for the labels in the battery compartment, with their cryptic numbering and lettering, mine says "Sky Rev 4" I have read that there is a Rev 6, or maybe even later by now.

(The latest remotes have a speaker symbol on the '0' button.)

Do I need a FTV card to get the update ?

I bought a cheap second hand box off an auction site here in Holland without a card.
I already have a Pace box with an FTV card which has updated but this secondhand TU-DSB30 has been on for a week and picked nothing up.

I've got a second FTV card on the way so if I need a card it's not an issue, I just want to know if it's needed as currently the favourites are locked due to lack of card as are parental controls and a few other options.
It's running old, old software that seems to have been upate last in Scotland.

Still for 10Euro it's picking up CBBC and the kid is happy..

Not that shortly enough though for those of us overseas, not if we want 4 and 5 anyway.

My digibox - same model - has reached this point.

Can someone confirm if all the ongoing catagory changes, including the new way of accessing radio EPG numbers, applies to all Sky boxes and not just to SKY+ boxes.

So far I noticed that pressing '0' on my remote displays a speaker icon before three dashes for a further three digits, but this currently leads to 'Channel Unavailable' message.

Yes, the changes will apply to all Sky boxes.

The 0/Spkr button will provide easier access to Radio when the upgrade becomes effective.

It will make the radio digits 4 numbers, so that their previous slots can be used for other channels. BBC Radio 1 will move from 851 to 0101.
