If you go out of all channels and into Entertainment, you see that 147 is surrounded by 136 and 151, whereas 146 and 148 reside in the Lifestyle and Culture category.

Presumably this will all be rectified when the channel-numbers all get changed later this month, no?

Not that I can see any of it yet, because my box is still on 3.3b.5

I have posted this on the other thread as well.

Confirm, some Pan31's are on new software, some not.

Have updated 2 today(forced downloads), one did, one didn't go on the new S/W.

Hope this may help.

It is likely that it will be fixed with the EPG reshuffle.

The following boxes are scheduled to recieve the software update from 4am tonight!

The new software being transmitted to digiboxes is 3.4.4b

Note: to check what type of box you have, press Services on your Sky remote, Select 4. System Setup and select 5. System Details. Note the Version number 3rd line from the top of the screen, you only need to match the first 4 characters of the version number.

9F02 - PACE TP3
9F03 - PACE TP3 B1
9F06 - PACE SABRE
9F08 - PACE RAPIER
9F09 - PACE JAVELIN
4E05 - GRUNDIG ASPEN
4F01 - AMSTRAD TP2
0F02 - PANASONIC MN2
6F01 - SONY TP3

The above listed box types will begin to recieve the new software from 4am, however not all boxes listed above will recieve the software first time round, don't worry as they repeat the download.

If your box is not listed above, don't panic, it will be done eventually, just sit tight.

The following boxes were updated last night.

9F01 - Pace TP2
9F05 - Pace 5512
4E02 - Grundig TP3
4E06 - Thomson Maple
4E08 - Thomson Oak
4F02 - Amstrad TP3
4F03 - Amstrad 5512 / NIM (4F03 01/02/03)
4F06 - Amstrad DRX400
0F03 - Panasonic MN2.5 / Maco

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T ATTEMPT A FORCED DOWNLOAD ON A STANDARD DIGIBOX!
(Unless instructed by someone at sky!)

If your box hasn't recieved the software update yet however it has been listed previously or is listed above and it's now passed that download your box will catch up with the rest when they repeat the signal.

Attempting a Forced Download on a standard digibox is not a good idea as your box will only revert to the current version (in most cases 3.3b.5 or 3.3a.6). Doing a forced download to a standard digibox will prolong the update from reaching your box.

The new software will not be placed onto the forced download stream until February 24th so there is no point in trying to get it before that date.

My Box isn't listed above, when will it recieve the update?
Further release dates for other models are not available, this is the only information we have available on the updates at the moment so we cannot tell you when your box will get the update if it isn't already listed above or has been listed previously on either this thread or another thread.

Any problems with the new software when you first get it, just power cycle the box (turn it off at mains and back on again) this usually clears the problem and you should be back up and running again.

Thanks for the info, however, I did a forced download on a Panny 31 that had been in the cupboard unplugged last night, so it missed the standard download, it updated via forced download to the newest S/W...no problem.

Looking at the new EPG lineup (somewhere on this site...) it looks like the renumbering should result in one gap in between each category because channels in the categories will be numbered (semi)consecutively.

Has anybody with one of these boxes received the update? None of our boxes did and I'm thinking it was delayed due to 'unforeseen circumstances' again, although I haven't had notification of this yet.

Yes, one on my three box's is a "9F08" and has now received the update. Another one of my boxes is a "9F09", this one hasn't had the update yet, this is probably because the power has been turned off all night. I have now turned the power on, so it should pick up a repeat of the update soon.

Thanks, Digi Man. Good to know that the update was broadcast, even if I'm now puzzled about why ours are all languishing un-updated. Normally we'd expect one or two misses but not so many.

I've just noticed my Pace box has had the upgrade.

I've had this box since Oct 1998.

Version number: 9F0201

EPG software version is now 3.4.4b

The second box (9F09) has now been updated aswell.

Just waiting for the third box to update now, which is a 9F0A, hopefully this will update in the coming days.

I have a Grundig GDS3000, with the code 4E05.

Thankfully, I did NOT stay up till four AM, in order to see this update NOT happening.

I ran out of fags at about 2AM, and hit the sack by three!

Today, the Grundig is looking as it did before - no upgrade. I tried resetting the box (at the wall), and it re-searched for channels for a few minutes, but didn't switch over to any cached update, or do anything special.

My only wonder, is that at 4am my box would have been ON (ie, powered up, NOT in standby). I'm wondering if it doesn't listen for the download signal if it's displaying TV (albeit not to the telly, which was off). I've switched it over to 'standby' mode now (red-light, still plugged into wall) just in case it has a second attempt this afternoon, or something.

Yes, that's exactly right. Except in a very few cases, the first four digits are the most significant ones.

Our boxes have now been updating, so I think there's hope for your Grundig yet!
