Is there a best time to do the forced update?”

Odd: 3.3b.5 is definitely available to DS430Ns on the Forced Download stream - However, as others have said, whatever you happen to be on will be fully replaced by 3.4.4 - I'm guessing this will not be until next Tue/Wed/Thur now.

Hiya, just to let you guys know, Boxes that still have version 3.2.11 (this includes iDTV's) will recieve the update to version 3.4.4b sometime next week.

The next batch of updates are scheduled for Monday night (aka 4am on Tuesday Morning) however no details are available as yet as to which boxes will be getting updated.

Sky have confirmed that 50% of the standard digiboxes were upgraded last week and that they expect the remaining boxes to be updated over the next week.

As always, I'll post here as soon as any information becomes available.

I Just thought I would say thank you for keeping us informed, I know there are too many people in this world / forum that take for granted the information that you provide, even though you dont have to do it, it is appreciated.

Cheers

So, is there any chance at all that very old boxes will not be capable of storing the update? I worry since I have an extremely old Panasonic (version number 0F01) and I noticed that 0F02 and 0F03 have already been updated. Are Sky just leaving the older boxes to last, or is there a particular order the boxes are updated in?

I have 3 boxes..

Thomson on 4E07, has 3.3a.6
Grundig on 4E05, has 3.3b.5
Panasonic on 0F02, has 3.3b.5

Problem is I only one satellite connection so how can I get all 3 boxes to v4?

I checked and the later 2 boxes where in the list of already updated so not sure whether best to plug the Thomson in and wait for upgrade for that - but then how do I upgrade the other 2 if they are not plugged in and powered up when upload is sent?

Wait until 24 Feb when the new Software for standard Digiboxes is put on the Forced Update stream and do them one by one in your own time

cheers RAI, I can wait 'till then, thanks for the info.

I assume from 24th I can do a forced download (power on + backup pressed) on each one and will get v4.

In theory: The on-air roll out is due to complete by 21 Feb, ready for the Reshuffle on 28 Feb.

Good info previously Posted suggests 24 Feb is the date when the new software will be available to Force. This gives folk a few days to do their spare boxes etc.

In case you haven't seen it mentioned, Version 4 actually comes up as 3.4.4 in your System details.

Unfortunately I'm still waiting for my Amstrad DRX500 (Version no.4F0701) to recieve the v4 upgrade. I don't suppose any of you guys know when this will happen?

Not exactly, no - However, the remaining Boxes are due to be update in the next week or so. If you still don't have it, you can Force it no earlier than 24 Feb.

Sky haven't broadcast an update for the iDTV yet. I haven't heard any news yet about when they're likely to, but (in my completely unfounded opinion) I would think it wouldn't be before next week.

Hmm, I am sure there was a comment saying it would definitely be this week for the iDTV......

I am starting to doubt it will actually be upgraded

I mean really, is that it??

Some re-organising of channels and a new favoutires facility. I thought we were going to get radio now and next at least.

What a waste of time...

Hi,

Should all Amstrad drx400 boxes have received the update by now?

Unless mine got the update last night, I'm still without it.
