We will find out in about an hour! I must say I know R11 is due for release soon anyway, but I think its dumb of sky to actually release it on the morning of April 1ST if its real!

Only the DRX89x boxes will be getting the R011 software
The Pace and Samsung boxes along with the DRX780 will not.

Quite disappointing as the Sky forums suggested all boxes would be getting it eventually. The pinned forum post has been updated to reflect that.

That's a shame. The time has come for me to update my Sky+ box.

this is the 3rd time those boxes would have missed out on a update. as they did not get R006 & R007

take a look to see what mean http://skyepginfo.co.uk/Firmware/SkyPlusHD.php

Exactly my thoughts. This R011 upgrade was just another good reason to get rid of my ageing DRX780. It's progressively getting slower as time goes by with more lag evident, especially when recording two HD channels at once. So I just bought a DRX895W from Ebay and seamlessly paired the Sky card online. It's a much faster box plus the jump from 160GB to 1500GB in storage is mental....

DRX890 & 895 Sky+HD boxes that were running R011.075.46.00P were switched to the newer R011.075.52.00P code this morning.

Not all that much of a wait this time for the DR stream to be updated

Finally seems much easier to connect to your HD box by pressing the WPS button on your router (talktalk here) was impossible to work on the old software version

Yes good news that it has come quickly.
I guess it was a simple update for the boxes to cope with.

I just force updated one of my boxes for a look and can say I am not impressed with the planner reorganisation, don't like having to switch tabs for planned recordings and don't like the ascending listing.

No doubt I will probably get use to it eventually but would rather have the option of a descending view.

How long does the update take to roll out to all relevant boxes? I don't fully understand how Apple ran release an OTA update to iOS for all iDevices on a single day, yet Sky software upgrades seem to take weeks or months. Am I missing something?

I, on the other hand much prefer it.... Makes more sense not to have to scroll through the entire list to see what is scheduled to be recorded - it's there in one clear tab. But as you say, having the option to set the sort order of the recordings would make everyone happy (ish).

If you're looking for something specific, you can still sort them A-Z with the green button, or indeed search the list titles, so I don't think it's really a problem even if you have a very long list.
It does seem more logical to me that the most recent recordings are displayed immediately you go to the planner.

Mine happened about an hour ago. I quite like it so far. Much easier having two tabs. Just a matter of getting used to it for me.

A few things.... firstly the need for a 2nd update/bug fix meant that only a small number of boxes were affected.

Secondly have you seen the complaints every Apple software release? Takes ages, servers get hammered. there's no rush to release of new Sky versions, esp as other than a handful of enthusiasts/geeks on Sky box forums, most customers will be blissfully unaware there's something new coming out.

In the Planner I would like them that's Sky to add another tab called Future Scheduled so that all the programmes that say Next Episode and Next Series would be in there and also another thing you can't edit the Next Episoede and Next Series programmes so for example if there set to record you can't change the recording programmes to a reminder

Yes my Sky+ box has served me well but it's time to make the jump. Especially as I run out of space very quickly.

Has anyone else seen the second page of the system details, something about DRM and secure channel, I wonder what sky want with that?

This is on the new R11 software.

My 2Tb box still hasn't received the update to the planner. Should it have done?
