That is why I queried earlier if Sky had a problem with it as it does appear an awfully slow roll-out. At first I thought it was just my boxes still on R012. I thought by now it would normally be available on a forced download.

This roll out is taking its time. Generally it takes around 6-8 weeks so we're well behind schedule with this one.

Main box updated last night to R013.082.09.00P

No noticeably significant change - can only imagine they are ironing out some kinks before the R013 software gets a wider airing.

Typical, I finally get my 'over the air' update the same day it appears as a forced download. Still at least it saves me the job

Had to do a forced update on my 2TB boxes,all up to date now

Got the update on main box about a month ago, two multi-room (+HD) still waiting.

That is the point of my alert,now there is no longer a need to wait,simply do a forced update

I have the DRX 890 (4f31d3) and according to the sky epg firmware guide I should be able to download version R013 but have tried three times today and still on R012.

Do I have a receiver problem? Any guidance would be appreciated.

Potentially as R013 is on the DR stream.

Go to SETTINGS > SIGNAL and make sure you have a good signal strength and quality on input 1.

Also are you definitely getting the UPDATING SYSTEM SOFTWARE message on screen.

Both signals very strong also strong quality on both but only the SKY logo when performing a reboot no download message. I just thought Sky had removed that element.

If you're only seeing the Sky logo, you are just rebooting, not doing a software download.
Assuming you are correctly holding down the backup buton on the box while rebooting, this may well be because the button push is not registering properly.
They are not physically very sound in my experience. Make sure you hear a definite click when you press and hold the button. You may have to press it a bit off-centre.

Tried a fifth time and it worked and I am now on version RO13. I do think I have a receiver problem with glitches etc so will speak to Sky.

I don a forced download on my boxes I the bedroom and I got ro13 but in my living room the bos will not update till got r012i try 5 time to do a forced download but sill got ro12

Did you actually see the software upgrade status message?
If not, it wasn't actually upgrading, just rebooting.
If you did see the upgrade message, that's a bit of a mystery, as if it has R12 it should certainly be compatible with R13 (some older boxes will not now upgrade).

We still have not had the update on either box.

Not that fussed but are we going to have to manually download it or will Sky be sending it to the boxes they have missed soon?

Sky's still working their way thorough all the boxes. You will get it automatically eventually.

got m upate this moring ro13 on my living room boxes so I got the software on both boxes ro13

They have still not added the series link symbol on the sky EPG TV guide for example next to the words the one show still only the clock symbol
