1. Unplug box from mains, leave for 30secs
2. Plug box back in and switch on at mains WHILST holding the BACKUP button on the front of the box.
3. Updating software screen appears.
4. Box will reboot when its done.

Hope this helps

Wha't the latest version for an amstrad sky+ receiver ?
If it's not the last (cause the receiver is new) will i get it automatically or do i have to force the download?

Hi mate, same here - apart from my version is 9F2023.

Anyway, glad to get the option back to lose the red dot, as I had on my normal Sky box.

The Panasonic iDTV models (TX28DTS3C/TX32DTS3C) seem to wait the longest for software updates. One problem with these models is that you can't put the integrated Sky receiver on standby.

Hi. Since new software, I can't watch any recorded films, even those recorded on BBC, ITV, CH4 etc. When I try to view, I am asked for a PIN. Any ideas. Also my phone has been ringing for 21 minutes to speak to a Sky+ helpdesk person ! ! ! Gerry.

I haven't received the new spftware yet on my Pace Sky+ box, but glad to hear it's on the way. Regarding your problem, not being able to view your recorded films without a pin. Try entering the last four digits of your sky viewing card and if that dont work, then there is no other option , but to wait on Sky to answer their phone and then, luck of the draw, you may or may not get somebody to solve your problem. Good Luck

You can now remove the Adult channels from the EPG via Parental Control.

Like with the normal Sky boxes, any channel restrictions, mean you have to enter a pin to go into other channels. So if you have any restrictions set up, that's probably why you have to enter a pin to watch a recorded program

Havent a clue mate, but i have the Sky+ , version 2 box and am still waiting for the upgrade and on phoning Sky about five weeks ago, I was told I would have it within two weeks and that I would have to be patient as there was eight million other sky subscribers and it would be downloaded to each in due time. I just hope it's worth it.

Well, 3 weeks down the road, and I have had the Amstrad replaced with a Pace! It lasted exactly 10 days.

The Pace does not have upgraded software, despite the technician doing a forced download when he installed it.

He also said that he insists "they" load his truck with Pace boxes as he refuses to install any more Amstrads.

He also stated he had installed 25 V3s in the past two weeks, and had already had to replace 10 of them....

Does anyone know what the latest version is of the Panasonic Digibox TU-DSB31? I have left it on for a week now, but it won't go higher than 3.3a6. Is there no 3.3b6 for this box?

The TU-DSB31 still has version 3.3.a6. The only ones on the new 3.3b.5 at the moment are the Pace STB's with the exception of the Sky + boxes, the EMMA (9F04) and the Cobra (9F0A). The update apparently happened on Wednesday night (25th) but I managed to update some boxes on the Thursday afternoon. There was no need to start a forced download (in my experience this has never worked anyway). I merely left the boxes in standby and the update was caught in a matter of around 10 minutes. By the time I switched on again, the new EPG was there.

This is my very first post, I hope it is helpful to you.

i emailed sky about a week ago, about when as a Sky+ customer, I could expect the new software and this morning at about 9.30am, I received a phone call from them saying that there was no date yet set for the upgrade of the Pace v2 digiboxes and it shouldn't be too long yet.
