Typical soap nonsense....two characters who have never exchanged a single word on screen before in all their soap appearances are suddenly inseparable

I guess nowadays the problem is many teenage girls, with their heavy make-up etc are looking too old for their actual age, to the point that people are percieving that as "normal looking" for them now :-/

I'll give them a pass this time. They are two characters who are supposed to be about the same age, and it's the school holidays. It's a small village, they are bound to meet at some point.

They'd be a nice couple if he wasn't going to be lumbered with a baby at 18. The Vanessa/Kirin makes my skin crawl.

Kir would do well to stop sniffing around that Belle, she's got her murderous tendencies after all.

I think Belle and Kirin have had scenes together anyway. He lives in Gemma's old cottage, and Belle broke in to look around. He was quite nice to her back then as well.

You won't want to know about the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence and our Highers, Advanced Highers, ( certificate of sixth year studies in my day)and Standard Grades then? To say nothing of National Qualifications, NVQs NCs......

Although I thought English and Welsh kids couldn't leave education at 16 now? Maybe it's just discouraged rather than actually illegal.

Anyway, I think they mentioned something about Belle going to another school a few weeks ago, but Belle's education situation has become confusing

At least Kirin is taking the business seriously. I had visions of them making the cordial in Kirin's kitchen then 'finding out' that it was illegal to sell the stuff.

I would like the idea of them as boyfriend and girlfriend or mates if he was a better actor.

I do like Belle going into business. It's understandable that she might not want to go back to school.

Oh dear..... the relationship is totally platonic as far as Kirin is concerned but not as far as Belle sees the relationship. Poor Belle

I see I was proved right. Belle has a crush on Kirin. Kirin sees her as just a "kid". It's going to end in tears indeed. No doubt the Dingle litter will act like Belle is the poor innocent victim again when Kirin inevitably rejects her and she cries afoul.

What a low opinion some people have of Belle. She's no murderer. The poor lass pushed someone. She had no intention of killing her, it was a scrap and the guilt led to a breakdown. She's hardly Ian Brady

I hope they don't go down the line of having her hear voices which tell her harm Kirin or something equally sensationalist. She's handling her condition well. She could have a relapse but hopefully she won't be as bad as she was. She is a stroppy, spoilt madam but her heart's usually in the right place. She's matured a lot in the last year or so. Let's see her have a positive story.

Might be an unpopular opinion but I like Kirin. I think he is underrated. Adam fielding does a good job.

Him and and belle won't work. Not only is it weird but wouldn't It seem repetitive? Rakesh didn't like Kirin dating Vanessa bc of the age gap and Zach would be the same.

There is only 18 months age gap between Kirin and Belle, there was more than 20 years between him and Vanessa!!!! There's a gap sure, but in comparison it's minute!!

Soaps lumber characters with babies from an early age thus ruining the potential development of the character, like I feel most characters who have children in their teens early 20s get held back in terms of development in soaps after said child is born.

I have to disagree here. The actor playing Kirin has just turned 22 and the actress playing Belle is literally about to turn 18 so there is a 4 age gap, in terms of the characters, there is less than 2 yrs age difference so them getting together. Which makes this even more plausible.

At the moment in CS we have a very underage Bethany pursuing her mothers ex boyfriend quite aggressively and whilst he's done nothing but lead her on so far, the idea of them having sex is very much a possibility and no one seems to even bat an eyelid!

Exactly! It's like putting Belle with Cain (if they weren't related) or Jai. Just vile.

Wonder how long we have to wait for him to be discovered as the Daddy?
