iOS 8.4 Jailbroken ?

I don't want to link to anywhere just in case, but just reading one of the main places that seems to suggest that iOS 8.4 has been successfully jailbroken.

This could, of course, be old news and I've only just caught up

That's what I was just reading, but I wasn't sure it was against the DS T's & C's to link to it. Sod's law, i'd do it and it would be

Anyway, is it a recent thing ?. The article is dated today so it suggests it is.

I've always been tempted to jailbreak but can never really make up my mind. I did once jailbreak my old 3G iPhone which was perfectly fine and let me at least have a fully formed ZX Spectrum emulator on it, but i've never felt the need to do it since i've had the 5s.

Uninstalling the unsed apps would be handy though as i've got about 18 in the "Extras" folder that i'll never use.

I think it's been out since July if Google is correct.

The TaiG jailbreak developer team has finally released the public version of its 2.4.3 untethered jailbreak tool for iOS 8.4, following its recent beta rollout for the same jailbreak version a week ago.

well, for the record, i spent around half an hour in a jailbroken state

i found out you can't use the barclays mobile banking app, which i get a lot of use out of so i decided to abandon the idea before i went any further.

What were you hoping to do jailbroken that you couldn't otherwise?

Not a huge amount, to be fair. The main thing i'd probably have gone with is the ZX Spectrum emulator as i would have been able to use the games i've got for it. The ones you have on the app store at the moment are kind of 'closed' environments with fixed amounts of games available.

Over and above that, I'd probably have looked for any useful tweaks or visual things I suppose.

No, the article has just been updated as 8.4.1 was released yesterday which closes off the currently used jailbreak routes.

The article was originally posted on 30 June when 8.4 was released.
