He would've gained Vanessa's trust more by evicting Becky IMO. Now Vanessa will be even more threatened with the trio of Steve/John/Becky. However everything else is spot on for his game. When I said it would be a letdown I meant more entertainment wise.
I think Vanessa knows it's a numbers game - Becky doesn't have numbers, I mean, that's why Vanessa didn't get evicted! ![]() ADC was a trio, and they had started to pull in Austin, which Vanessa could see. I can't see Austin backing off just because James and Meg lost Jackie, but it helps Vanessa a lot. Vanessa was screwed either way - she had Jackie/John/Becky all wanting her out. Two had to remain in the game... At least now she has some room to try and wiggle some sort of deal with James/Meg without Jackie constantly shutting it down. |

Why when there are twins sitting there are people still not considering nominating them, add Austin and thats a big glaring solid 3 person alliance sitting there and they just get ignored each week. I like Julia so don't mind but its odd.
Even Vanessa will go after them soon. It's highly unlikely Austwins will all be intact by final 3 / 4. I am certain a twin will get that far though. |

Yep I thought they'd be an easy nomination during the double though given the twins stand out like a sore thumb as an alliance.

None of these people have a brain of their own.
The pleas as usual gave away to the viewers who was going to be evicted as well. The production should tell them not to do that, or they should stop doing the pleas. Steve has been given trivial bits to increase his airtime but exactly the same has been done with James with these silly jump out and surprise people moments. He's as much a non-entity of a character as Steve. |

I don't think Survivor would be nearly as praised if there were live feeds, the ability to manipulate what happens into 40 mins of footage benefits Survivor, it can create the narrative, that's far more difficult for BB given the feeds.
I agree about the pleas, same when a athletic HOH follows an eviction, one evictee sitting in a cocktail dress and the other in leggings and a tank top, although I feel this season that's been less noticeable. Ever since Grodner took over from Shapiro the show has gradually been more and more dumbed down, this season has been surprisingly high quality given the previous 2 though but not a patch on some of the more retro seasons. |

I was meaning more what they say in the pleas, which can be more goodbye messages than pleas.
The editing in the show is ok but I do feel in most seasons near 50% of the cast are not really gameplayers. The feed for the show, because of the arrangement of the highlights, is more a spoiler feed than a buzz feed, so much of the audience will avoid it anyway. As most alliances don't shift much the main part of the show is the competitions, so the audience is split between taking the suspense of the HLs or just get it by hearsay on the feed. The actual evictions often don't have much suspense, maybe it's hard to edit that suspense into the show just because of the material available, whether there is a feed or not. |

It happened last week with Clay and Shelli, he was all dressed smart and she had her trainers on so I knew she was staying. And as soon as I heard Jackie's speech I knew she was going
![]() Also I just can't with Steve. Useless player that shouldn't even be in the house. He literally brings nothing to the house and even after that HOH win he could have done so much and actually played the game but no. Why not go for Becky who he has said numerous times is his target and he knows will come after him? Or go after the obvious and big power group of Austin and the twins. He didn't even talk any gameplay or make any deals when he had the small amount of time to do so he just sat there and then walked away saying he needs to compose. Eurgh he's just useless. |

Steve is playing the game your just not seeing it on the TV show.
He's in an alliance with Austin, Twins and Vanessa and has been for weeks now. |

Oh really? Thanks for that. They need to start showing him actually playing instead of just showing him talking to himself or getting scared by James on the show. They could easily get rid of that kind of filler and replace it with more gameplay I don't understand why they're not.

Yeah they were using the alliance name Freaks and Geeks but production said they couldn't use it and asked them to come up with another one tonight as I'm guessing they'll say about it since Steve won HOH.

![]() The CBS shows aren't incredibly flattering to Steve in general. Why show his game when he has tics and quirks to exploit instead? Edit - Totes! ![]()

Whatever his game is it's felt irrelevant to the happenings, partly because he's been so crap at competitions. Which I'll say again is what this show is really all about. It doesn't help when you have people like Steve,James, Becky who seem to have zero personality as well.

We have the voids of personality every single year. If you find yourself with a quiet moment today, just think about casting coming across Becky's Tinder profile and deciding "We must have her!"

Does Steve know he's bottom of the totem pole in that alliance I mean Austwins are clearly a trio which just leaves him and Vanessa.

An Austwin is going to win this season and it it will be horrible. Season 11 all over again. Good season and poor winner.

![]() Left on his own (which seems to be often) he'll start rambling to the cameras about Steve things though. CBS gave us a megacut of this two episodes back. This isn't much of a spoiler, but regarding Austwins

Survivor is different in that it's set up for alliances with different tribes from the start. Both eviction votes are secret but there's much more fear of voting against the house on BB. I think the HoH position gives a kind of individual power that people are afraid of facing and the gameplan tends to be more of a sucking up one rather than a taking the battle to people.

All BB has to do is stop revealing vote numbers, that way people would be more inclined to vote how they want and votes might end up going differently. I mean aside from Liz throwing a hinky vote to try and keep Jeff most people vote in a way we all expect.

Catching up, still watching the eviction.
Erm, why Steve not put up Becky? He's been making it clear for a while that he wants her gone. Scared to make a balsy game move? Avoid being targeted? I don't get it, Becky doesn't have many alliances in there, so if he did go for her, Steve didn't have to really worry about people going for him. I mean who would defend Becky in that house? IMO, he's pointless and wants to through the motions, you can't do that in BBUSA! I can't see past a Austin, Liz/Julia or Johnny Mac win now. It would be between the four of them. James has made too many sharp moves to get to the end, if he's up next, I'm pretty sure he would be out against most. |

IMO, he's pointless and wants to through the motions, you can't do that in BBUSA! Becky leaving at the hands of Steve was wrong for a number of reasons: 1. Becky is aligned with one of his closest allies (John). He would've risked losing John, so took out Becky's only other ally instead. 2. A trio is far more threatening - there was two trio's in the house (Austwins and ADC), Steve is aligned with Austwins whilst he has no relationship with ADC. Now the house stands like this: Austwins with Steve on the side Meg/James Becky/John with Steve on the side Vanessa/Steve Had he got rid of Becky, ADC would be very strong, especially since they made a final six deal with Austwins (but that's unknown to Steve so I'm not giving him credit for that). Let's say he broke up Austwins, it would be: Two remaining Austwins targeting him. ADC remain, making no effort with Steve. Becky also wouldn't care that he exists. It would've left only John and Vanessa who has his back, but even then Vanessa would play both sides (act pissed in front of Austwins, but would tell Steve she's got his back - if it doesn't work out in Steve's favour, she'd be off his ship and stick with the two remaining Austwins). It makes zero sense to target three people who aren't targeting you, especially when you're meant to be aligned with them, when there's another trio that are just as strong who you aren't aligned with. He made a good move. ADC remaining in tact was dangerous for him, they would've gone after him sooner than Austwins will. |

Spoiler because it hints at the current HoH.
