Anyone know if and when Louis Chadwick is on or was on this week? The online schedule says that he is doing afternoons on the English Greatest Hits Network but this afternoon it's Paul Hayes.

Not sure if this is the start of a new change for Friday nights but the Floorflillers show which is presented by James Barr is not on in Scotland tonight as Colin McArdle from West FM Breakfast is presenting across Scotland doing a floorfillers show now. It will be interesting to see if this is a new show or if it is a one off for New Years Day.

But remember that on a normal Friday, this would mean he does a live breakfast show 06:00-10:00 and then another show 18:00-22:00. Too much, surely?

It does seem a bit much unless he isn't going to do breakfast on a Friday but I cant see that

Friday evening would normally be a 7-10 shift and working a 7 hour day surly won't tire him

I would assume he will also be handsomely rewarded for a network gig.

Of course this week is 6-10 as its New Year. There is a big enough gap between the two shows as well for him to rest. But I wonder if he will travel to Glasgow to do the show or will Bauer let him do it from Ayr.

He deserves a network slot as he is a great presenter who is really funny.

I'm not from the area but I thought that drivetime on Clyde 1 finished at 18:00 where it's two hours of sport Monday to Thursday and an extra hour of Floorfillers on a Friday. Have I got it wrong somewhere?

I was just listening to Bob Malcolm who is covering the Game on show for Gavin Pearson today and he announced that from Next weekend he is to have a weekly show on a Saturday afternoon from 10am - 2pm. Not sure if this is just in Scotland or if he will be on in England as well but it is Great news for Bob who is a very good Radio presenter.

He also said he is doing the the late show at 10pm again next week Mon - Thurs so Darren Kelly doesnt take over the late show at 10pm till Mon 11th January

That is good news, Bob deserves a regular slot. I suspect they will have a different mid morning show at weekends for Scotland and England like they will during the week but we'll see.

I think they could have 2 separate shows but I did wonder as Bob has been on in England and Scotland for a month or so now at 10pm so it depends how he was doing in that slot with callers etc.

But it is good that they are making the schedule more country based e.g separate shows for England and Scotland during daytime Mon - Fri 6am - 2pm and 3pm - 7pm.

Have I missed something? Where has it said that the 2-3 slot will be networked? Or even that shows will all be 4 hours long?

John Leslie is still part of the team at the moment although currently suspended.

There will be 3, 4 hour shows during daytime like the city 1 stations.

I am not sure what the 2-3 slot will be but it is called your greatest hits - sounds like a request show - on both the Scottish and English schedules but it could be 2 separate shows.

I am not sure what is happening with John Leslie.

But from Monday the schedule will be

Scotland
6am Alan Edwards
10am Ally Bally
2pm Your Greatest Hits - One hour where YOU get to choose the Greatest Hits
3pm Gina McKie
7pm Steven Jordan
10pm Darren Kelly (from 11th Jan)

England except Radio City 2
6am Sean Goldsmith
10am Darren Proctor
2pm Your Greatest Hits - One hour where YOU get to choose the Greatest Hits
3pm Paul Hayes
7pm As Scotland

You need to view this on a proper computer not a phone as the schedule doesnt let you view other days for the rest of the week.

Also it has Darren Kelly down as doing the 10pm show but Bob Malcolm said yesterday he was doing the show this week

No bother. These changes show that either the network shows never performed as well or that Bauer feel that Scotland needs separate shows.

We should be happy as this is as local as the AM stations will be

I am not sure what is happening with John Leslie.
According to media reports in November he is suspended as allegations of improper activities have been made (again). This has a whiff of the Neil Fox and Suzie McGuire sagas… In a way I guess it does make sense for both parties - it gives John time to focus on the case, and it reduces Bauer's liability should anything happen on-air.

Incidentally, and slightly OT, his brother Grant Stott (of Forth 1 fame) was the MC at Edinburgh Hogmanay's Concert in the Gardens on Hogmanay (31st Dec)… it was a brilliant evening, very well put together with a good choice of acts and venues. Even the weather turned out not so bad, so we didn't need to enjoy the fireworks in the rain

Still nowhere near as good as how things used to be though.
