http://radiotoday.co.uk/2015/12/chan...ity-2-network/

There will be 3, 4 hour shows during daytime like the city 1 stations.

I am not sure what the 2-3 slot will be but it is called your greatest hits - sounds like a request show - on both the Scottish and English schedules but it could be 2 separate shows.

I am not sure what is happening with John Leslie.

But from Monday the schedule will be

Scotland
6am Alan Edwards
10am Ally Bally
2pm Your Greatest Hits - One hour where YOU get to choose the Greatest Hits
3pm Gina McKie
7pm Steven Jordan
10pm Darren Kelly (from 11th Jan)

England except Radio City 2
6am Sean Goldsmith
10am Darren Proctor
2pm Your Greatest Hits - One hour where YOU get to choose the Greatest Hits
3pm Paul Hayes
7pm As Scotland
I take it that John Leslie will do the 2pm to 3pm request slot, if he returns that is.

I think if John returns he would go back to the 1-4 slot, as I would have thought what there doing the now by extending 2 presenter by an hour and adding a request show is easier than bring in a temp presenter

What does everyone think of the new shows that started today?
Only managed to catch a little bit of Darren Proctor- and Paul Hayes, same old same o, just repeating happy new year it's Monday 4th Jan, that was....this is....
Hopefully Steve Jordan is a bit better tonight and allows text?
Bob Malcolm is the best but is only on for another week- I think he allows the most interaction - but he is a radio pro..........

I had a little listen to Ally Bally this morning up here in Scotland on old fashioned MW ( I normally listen on DAB to The Greatest Hits Network) and Ally sounded a bit more in his comfort zone than he did on the home run. He encouraged people to text and use Facebook.

I have to agree Bob is a great broadcaster and he one of many good radio presenters to lose there jobs when the regional breakfast shows were scrapped on the MW stations. But from this Saturday in Scotland Bob will have a weekly show from 10am - 2pm.

The new weekend schedule on the Greatest Hits stations is on the website

Saturday

Scotland

6am John Collins
10am Bob Malcolm
2pm Game on with Gavin Pearson
6pm Sean Goldsmith
10pm Keith Martin Soul (as before)

England

6am Tom Davies
10am Gavin Matthews
2pm Ivan D'sa
6pm As Scotland

Sunday

Scotland

6am Mike Riddoch
10am Scotland's talk in
1pm Tony Shephard
4pm Tony Blackburn
7pm John Collins
10pm Gina Mckie (im not sure if Darren Kelly is taking over this show)

England

6am Tom Davies
10am Gavin Matthews
1pm As Scotland

It seems that the talk in has been scrapped in England but I dont think that is a shock.

Did any one catch the 2pm -3pm show ?

And if that’s the case presumably Darren Kelly, Ally Bally and Gina McKie will return to their original slots?

So this Scotland and Northern England having different dj’s for the whole of 6am to 7pm and not just breakfast and home run is temporary pending John Leslie returning then? Disappointing if that’s the case if John Leslie does return.

No it's not temp. Why would they make it Scotland/England shows again for one DJ on suspension lol! Taken STV Viewer's theory bait there. Also - John Leslie can't possibly do an extra hour if we comes back. Wow.

Bob Malcolm is not on tonight or the rest of this week it seems on the 10pm to 2am slot as Darren Kelly is on instead.

What I meant was IF John Leslie returns he might go back to 1-4 e.g

10-1 Ally Bally / Darren Proctor
1-4 john leslie
4-7 Gina McKie / Paul Hayes

But it is just a guess as I dont know where else they would put him as I cant see him having an hour show

Ally bally does have audience interaction as he does a quiz and has caller.

Also Ally cant pronounce Billy Joel's second name properly. Just seems strange since he has been a DJ for years

The presenter of the Your Greatest Hits show in Scotland seems to be called Duncan. So I think it is Duncan Leven.

Went on the key 2 website and it seems to be a different show with different requests

No I have heard him say it wrong on previous listens to him.

Also does anyone know is Ally still a director or what ever he did up at Tay?

I have heard both and both seem acceptable

How many presenters say Candi Staton as Candi Stat-on when its actually State-on

Has he permanently taken over from Rossie on 10-2 and is the 2 O'Clock Anthems local now at City for good?

That is a bit strange as not many presenters do a 5 hour shift on the 1 station. I know Darren proctor does 5 hours but on 2 stations

I wonder if it is due to the up coming launch of Capital fm in Liverpool
