Strange Greigsy has already been moved from the show after just five months. Wonder if Michael Blades will get moved in England also, in my opinion the old Inemand was way better than Michael's show is now.
I think the evening show has always seemed aimed at a younger audience as I dont recall ever hearing a top 10@10 song between 7-10pm and I think Greigsy is probably more suited to a daytime audience which can have a wider age range. But I am surprised they never put Grant Thomson on 10-2 and gave Greigsy the 2'o clock anthems show across Scotland and the Clyde 1 Home Run as I would say after Bowie, Greigsy is the next biggest name on the station during local hours.

I agree with them creating separate shows for England and Scotland but I actually thought Stu Tolan was a very good presenter and don't understand why they didn't keep him on the English stations in the same slot. Instead they put him on Mid mornings on Rock fm.

It's normally Ellie Brennan on Key 103, Radio City and Rock FM and across Scotland on a Friday night, Jess Dawson on Radio Aire, Hallam FM and Viking FM, both as part of the Your Big Chance competition, and Dan Moylan and Ruth on Metro and TFM.
Surprised the Scottish stations havent got there own Friday night show at 10pm considering alot of the English stations have opt out shows

Is Dan Moylan and the Ruth you're on about on Metro/TFM- Ruth Aitken- seems to have a Teesside accent if it's the same one that reads the news in the mornings?
Yes that's her, the newsreader from Steve and Karen's breakfast show/mornings.
And Dan Moylan is the home run presenter.

I wasn't listening too carefully to the show but wasn't sure if it was prerecorded, I didn't hear the text number read out etc.

They really need to rename top 10 @ 10 anthems. It sounds stupid in the middle of the day. Almost as stupid as the generic jingles.

The whole network sounds appalling. From production to playlist to presentation the whole thing iis a total cluster****.

By the way stvman, there may be more to the Griegsy/Knoxy swap than meets the eye.

There's never any texts or tweets read out in Ellie Brennan or Jess Dawson's shows on the other stations, but I think they're both live.

Grant Thomson has the Saturday breakfast show also so they obviously rate him highly so it doesn't surprise me they've kept him on Home Run, Greigsy doing breakfast on Clyde suggests he was being lined up for one of the daytime shows eventually, I'm just surprised it's happened so soon after taking over evenings.

I listened to a bit of Stu Tolan on Rock FM and he really suits his new show, he is a very good presenter and it's a shame he got moved in England and replaced by a presenter nowhere near as good.

.
Griegsy has already had very successful spells on daytime on both Clyde and Forth before spending a few years on Northsound 1 breakfast so I don't think he had to prove himself at all.

And the Hot 20 also, I'm sure he'll we well suited to daytime on Clyde. Never listened to Knoxy before, do you think she'll be good on evenings?

Gina McKie also takes over Scotland's Sunday late show tonight from Tony Shepherd.

Not heard much of Knoxy recently but went up to MFR land quite a lot nback in the day and heard her back then, always struck me as a great presenter and will go down well on the network show I am sure.

Knoxy has done Sunday Breakfast for a while across the network so some people will have known her from that.

Also what isnt as widely know is that when Knoxy first came to Clyde 1 from MFR she did the drivetime show but moved to 10-2 not long after. I think the move was due to Robin Galloway joining Clyde 1.

But I think she will do well on the network she has a likeable personality on the radio and she has a good voice for radio. Also in my opinion I think Knoxy was one of best presenter on the 10-2 slot as (no offence meant) there are some poor presenters in that slot on some of the stations e.g Michael Smith on West FM, Billy Reid on Westsound FM Dumfries (City 2 station)

That is good as Tony's show stuck out a little and Kate Lawler before him as he is only on once a week in Scotland but he is on Sun - Thurs in the same slot in England. It seems strange that Fiona Shields isnt on a Sunday night as she does Mon - Thurs at 10pm but she does do the Sunday Afternoon show (12-4) on Clyde 1.

Good to see her get a chance on a big show then! Having a listen to her tonight, I agree she does seem to have a likeable personality and sounds good on the show.

Kate Lawler's a big name so I think her show would have permanently stayed in Scotland had she not left, but her leaving means it is a good opportunity to get a Scottish presenter on in that slot, so a good move from Bauer there.

Suppose Fiona could do two shows a day like Tony does in England on BC2 then BC1, but Gina's a good presenter so it's good for her to get a chance.

I don't know whether Bauer would be better to look towards the output that Gem 106 (which incidentally has lost its 106 on the branding from this morning) puts out. They have a good mix of music which does seem to be paying dividends and even Free Radio which had a similar 'lost' feel to it for a while has got its act together.

The City 1 stations are between a rock* and a hard place at the moment.

* No pun on a Preston-based Bauer owned radio station intended.

The Saturday morning show is having a small change as Dingo has moved back to Australia so from now on Boogie will be presenting with Arlene Stuart (who he also hosts the Forth 1 Breakfast show with )

Good idea to loose the 106 branding as its not just on 106 - its on DAB, online, apps - maybe they are looking at possibly hopping on to the SDL multiplex (they were part of the other one that lost) - SDL could be looking for a Heart style station.... think they have the space now Jazz FM is going to be on DAB+ on that multiplex

That's welcome news. Bauer have actually been making some good decisions recently, especially splitting the English/Scottish networking.

Hopefully the Paddy McGuinness show will go next as that's still far from perfect.

Ulitmately it doesn't matter if "the bosses quite liked Boogie" as it will be down to ratings and listener reaction.

The Bauer Awards are just a bit of internal nonsense and PR, not to be taken seriously.

I am actually surprised Stu and Kelly havent got the 9-12 slot in England as they seem more suited to that slot than the Saturday breakfast slot.

Paddy is only on in England now. Scotland has Ewan and Cat on a Sunday Morning.

The next shows that could get split is the Saturday night shows e.g OSA and Saturday Night Experience
